In M mode the transmission still downshifts but I've never seen it upshift at the rev limiter. I've actually bounced off the rev limiter in M mode while on a dyno. If you floor the gas pedal, the auto transmission makes no mistakes in S mode.

How much HP did you have? Any idea what your car trapped at in the qtr mile, or did the 60-130 in?

Your car is a monster. To put it in perspective, I haven't had any problems beating any car I could encounter on the street for months now. What kind of cars have you destroyed lately? LS3's, 5.0's, CTS-Vs, lets hear some stories!

Wow, a V10 R8 traps over 120mph, and is very quick in the qtr mile. In that case, I think you should pull the 335i. The way he is set up, many only trap 112-119mph. 11.9-12.9. So in other words, they are all over the place because many people don't have them dialed in correctly. He really needs meth to eliminate most of those variables. If you happen to run into a correctly set up one, you may lose, but I doubt it. Any idea of what your traps are? Or 60-130 times? That will give you a good idea of what to expect on a roll on. My best this weekend in my DD configuration was 9.1 sec 60-130, during a 11.8 at 125mph run. With a dryshot, 7.2, with 130mph traps. Either way, should be an interesting race, get some good videos!

Yeah it will shift automatically... when I know Im roll racing I toss it into S then downshift to the gear I want. That way when you punch it there is no delay for the downshift. The car will take it deep into the red line and shift at the best time. My M mode will run right into the rev limiter and not shift so I stick with S because I know it will shift better than me. Im usually too busy looking in my rear view mirrors to see how fast Im pulling away!

Hotrod! Nice to see a familiar face over here!

This car the OP is talking about should only be at the 112mph range so it shouldnt be a problem at all. I know I've raced my friends with N55 135 jb3 and downpipe and I beat him unless its in hot weather then he gets a jump on me before I start reeling him. In cold weather though I pull about 6 cars on him. Its a very strange difference...

Let's put it this way...last Saturday at the track...the 335i's with those mods were doing mid 13's at around 105-106 (very hot and humid and I think they prepped the track with oil) My best time was 12.7 @ 109mph with a 1.9 60 ft and I'm stock and on 20s. My other runs were low 13s though at 107-108 with 2.3 and 2.4 60fts (I wasn't joking about me thinking the track was prepped with oil...)

Yes, I have been to several of the AMG private track rentals, and hence learned about this board. Good to see you on here!

Awesome...wish we had those out here in FL because there isnt too many AMG people in FL on this board and the few we have are all scattered around FL

So because of this I'm still part of the N54 community here...I'm just usually faster lol

Saw your videos of you vs the kleeman c63...nice runs!

335s are quick but they dont run the times they should with the power they say they make. There was a modded to hell and back 135 at my track and the thing had every possible thing you could do other than bigger turbos.

latest procede with meth tank in the back, full bolt ons and race gas ect.The kid said it put down 500whp with its setup and he asked what I put down and I said 460whp and he said he would smoke me.

it was 78 d that day and my car was hot and was running mid 11s all day at 122-123 and he couldnt break 113mph.

I think his best run was like 12.5 and he was talking to shiv the whole time tweaking his tune with his laptop.

You will have no problems walking a 335 if you are at 45mph becasue the car will be moving and our weight off the line is what kills us.

there isnt much cars that can keep up from 40-100mph when we get full traction and pull all second gear with no shifting.

you should be able to take second gear to 90mph with your tcu tune and pull on him big time from 40mph on.

FBO and meth only makes about 430-450 whp depending on gas and boost...if he wasnt breaking 113 then his meth kit wasn't working and plus...shiv is an idiot.

trust me it was working.

look at your sig, your best run is a 12.5 with all your mods on the 335.

my friend had one on lease and he modded it and was at 460whp and I walked him by like 7-10cars to 150

stock turbo 335s are not a threat at all to modded amgs

My best time was 12.5 @ 112 in 78 degree humid weather, bald tires and without meth 93 oct...with meth I could've possibly done an 11 or atleast a very low 12 @118.

I lost to an E55 a week after I ran my 7.9 in the 1/8 and lost terribly which is partially why I got an E55 but I've raced a C32 when I was just tune and intake and beat it pretty bad...

Also...does hotrod have to break out some videos of him racing C63s on stock turbo? What helps them is the amount of tq they make so quickly and how smooth the powerband is especially properly tuned.

Still fact of the matter we are talking about I6 FI vs V8 FI...so of course...of the V8 FI wasn't quicker then I'd still be rocking my 335i

Well thats partially the point I'm trying to make...

335i is pretty fast for the money and with proper mods can beat stock or modded c63

When you start getting into heavily modified is where things are seperated. If the N54 fuel situation gets upgraded we should have 10 sec 335i's but until then...11.0 is the lowest they are going to get until someone gets lucky.

Don't forget the 11.30 ran by Hotrod are ALL done on Nitrous, chk out 60-130 v-box thread page #7, I dug up quotes/posts from Hotrods pals on 335i forums from months ago, he's running 150-160+ HP shot of nitrous.. Infact I'll go get the link
I meant warrens (hotrods) records my bad Warren lied continually about using nitrous & even more importantly HOW MUCH of it.. Here's some choice quotes from the 60-130 thread.. Warren kept saying he ONLY USED a 60 hp or. 28 jet sized shot.. Here's info from his actual tuner contradicting that w/Dyno proof, & others from Hotrod/Warren's 335i forums. Starts on post #158
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...edition-7.html
Terry @ BMS

It just goes by how much power you're adding. So a 35 jet is around a 100 shot according to the dyno.

I used a .28 jet. Manual push button set up. Basic meth kit with standard boost switch. No controllers on anything. Best on the Vbox was 133mph. Beyond a doubt, that would have been solid 135mph runs at Sacramento.

Warren, honey ... in the spirit of fun, friendship, and transparency, it is time to come clean. Or, if you've made an honest mistake, you are reading the jet stamp upside down. It says 82.

I've run a straight, non-progressive-controlled 28 jet shot, a 32 jet, a 36 jet, a 38 jet, a 40 jet .... and the only time my tires broke loose and my stock engine/turbos revved like your video shows, is with a 46 jet and MS109. (Now, you might have been on a slick road surface ... I'll give you that possibility).

My 135 is lighter, my open exhaust system is lighter, my wheels are lighter, my engine and AT is fresher ... we have the same engine, turbos, and gear ratio ... and all I've ever been able to garner is, one time; a 127 mph trap speed. So please share our secret, as I don't believe in miracles. ;o) (two .28 jets?)

If Warren is running a .28 jet and I am running a .032 jet, then someone is reading the jet stamp wrong perhaps. Larry, are you running a 0.046 jet when you say a 46 jet or a 0.46 jet? From my testing, a true .46 jet would be a huge shot for this car and would make a ton of IMO dangerous power.

If you guys are truly running jets with an orifice 10 times the diameter of mine, I would like to see the stamp and the logs! I think I might need to order some more jets and a 10 lb bottle ASAP. Lol.
Warren BLEW HIS TRANNY TO HELL, wonder why????

Well since the kit is off of the car right now, I will disassemble the injector, pull out the jet and see what it says on it, as you guys now have me curious, LOL.

Yet your 335i magically beats ALL, & still gets 31mpg on way home lol

Furthermore you insist you ONLY SPRAY IN 3RD gear, @ 60mph on up, never @ 1st or 2nd..

Actually the 11.0 was done on upgraded turbos no nitrous...I'm not sure why LostMarine never posted the slip but I believe he did it.

He really only started spraying in 3rd...granted this was due to the tranny not being able to handle the torque...one time on a 3-4 shift with the 28 jet the tranny just disengaged and engine revved way past redline...i remember that old thread...i think the video of the tranny failure was in that thread too. Tranny still worked fine after though aslong as he kept n2o off
