Finally, Broke my cherry....
Last night, I went to the track for the first time ever. Andrew (Moosejaw) and I did four passes each. I think I will become a staight ***** now.
This is the first of many. I ran on brad new Invo's and Andrew was on Hankook"s. I do have Chawkin"s drag set up. But I"m waiting on the spacers for them to fit. BTW those CLK wheels are friggin LIGHT! Next track day will be on the CLK's with Hoosiers.
When we first got there we saw Renntech with their new CLS63 BiTurbo running 11.2x. They also brought an E55, E63, and an X5 M.
Our first run we went against each other.
Andrew killed me. I wasn't sure what to expect and my launch sucked. Andrew ran 12.3 at 117mph 60' 2.0 and I ran 12.7 at 112mph with a 60' of 2.1. After that we split up and had some fun.

My second run was 12.5 at 112mph with a 60 of 1.9 . My third run I spun like hell and ran a 13.xx. And my fourth run I ran 12.4 at 112mph 60' at 1.9
I enjoyed myself! I will definately continue with my project and keep every one posted on the progress.

Nice... I will be going with the clk set up as well.. The clk wheels are literally half the weight of the stockers (granted smaller)... Looking forward to your progress and some near 10 second passes..

You did get lucky bro. We were doing 90mph in a 65mph and that Trooper was hidden. I thought he would have gotten both of us but he went after you. Glad all you got was a warning. If it was me I wouldn't have been so lucky. My file comes up with a big red flag because of my backround. It sucks! Some mistakes you never stop paying for. We should try to leave as early as possible next week. Hopefully Gus and Perry will join us.

The guy was smart, he tagged me with Laser in the middle of the night with his car facing towards us. He was blipping ppl as they came over the crest which is why he never showed up on my V1 until too late. Ive never seen FHP do that before. Ive seen it all the time in Georgia. I had no idea i wa sgoing that fast.

Once you are hooked, you are done. I have not forgotten about shipping th MT drags either. They will be on there way shortly.
When you get the hoosiers on, I highly recommend dragging in dyno mode. You be able to do a nice smoky burnout in that mode, and heat those suckers up nicely. Pull up to the line spinning them slightly. That way when the tree counts down, they are roasted and you can grab a 1.5xxx 60ft, followed by your first 11 sec slip!
How did you guys launch the car btw?

Was trying out different ways to launch. The first launch was in manual S with traction on. The second was in manual with traction on shifting at 6200rpm. The third was in manual with traction off. Spun like hell. And the fourth was in manual with traction on shifting at 6500rpm.

and im jumping in....... cant go wednesday, i am taking my GMAT on thrusday noon and i need to be fresh and head clear to get a high score, need to leave florida and go to arizona for grad school, Thunderbird Univ. here i come!!!!!
sorry guys either way my car is in no form or shape ready to hit the track, still sits at the dealer waiting for undercarriage panels to be replaced and on stock wheels now :/
