How is everyone else's gas spending look like? I can't imagine driving a M series V-10, I heard those get worse mileage than the 55k do.

LOL. Horrendous when I owned it. Averaged 10.3 mpg.

If you bought this car for fuel economy you just found out you failed

Awesome for me.

My commute is 2.4 miles to work, 2.4 miles back home Then as much as I can during the week nights and weekends .

On top of that, I have a winter beater that I use during the crappy winter days/weeks with salt etc. on the road.

Gotta love it!

Had an E320 and I drove it as hard as possible too .

(Avg was prob more around 250 before. It says lower because I didn't drive for a few months earlier this year)>

Justinwrock, where do you go to rack up all those miles? It is encouraging to know that these engines last a while.

Around here, I cannot run errands or go where i need to without doing at least 65-70 miles, on the low end, in an outing.

Honestly, can't think of a better car to do those miles in.....I've done a couple 1000 mile days (road trip) and it just makes me love the car even more.... I just turned over 79,000... Guarantee I take this car up to 150,000.... And by the time I get there, it'll still smoke 90% of the cars on the road!!!!!

Tal, 10.3 huh. Your a ****ing madman.... The GTR may, quite possibly, guarantee that I'm sending you care packages of "soap on a rope" and cigerettes...

note to self: don't move from WSGV out to (909)... I'm 6 miles away from our fave restaurant in DTLA and even that's too far some times. We sometimes visit the familia in San Berdoo and the 110mi r/t drive makes me depressed.

Reliability wise - It is still solid, and I would not hesitate to take it cross country!

Covering a lot of groud there. I hope you get some kind of reimbursement for gas or mileage to help out if it is work related.

We are neighbors. Doing well there with the miles. Should help if you ever decide to sell.

Tony C, you are also fairly close by and able to occasionally relate to the vast expanse of asphalt one can cover in the LA and neighboring counties.

Any encounters, close or real, with cops yet and what's the fastest you have been able to go?

Keeping close tabs on CityofAngels, our fellow californian, I see. Too funny. I have come to expect a counter to new threads from our pal

All personal driving.

I had a C43 before the E55... I drove 20k miles in 8 months when I had that car....

But more back on topic, my average fuel economy over the last 10,000 miles has been 11mpg.
