You'll be fine as long as its torqued correctly and its lined up correctly with the keyway.

I'm talking method not bolt type. There are applications that use torque angle that do not yield the bolt. In this case the 275 recommendation is probably because eurocharged has a higher friction to overcome on their pulley to crankshaft interface and therefore need the higher base torque vs a stock/ASP. Once that is overcome, then they add the 90 to stretch. So I was assuming that the OP had an ASP pulley which was a bad assumption and going to 275 ft lbs to start plus 90 degrees would be bad...My mistake.

FYI: Pulley installed and auto-uninstalled was an ASP/EC multi pc pulley.

Ok...i need advice...the shop wants to file through my warranty and replace the whole bottom end as the key way indeed did break.

Should I let them do this and chance my warranty denying the claim or filing a claim with their insurance as it is their fault.

No way your warranty will cover it unless they try to perpetuate some form of fraud such as it did it on it's own. Every shop has insurance, well...they should have insurance. They need to go through their insurance as they screwed up. Even if you gave them erroneous information about torque (not saying you did, just illustrating a point), it is still their responsibility as professionals to ensure a clean install.

Make the shop pay for the bad install!! They need to own up for their mistake/bad work. Warranty doubt will cover it.

PM me with your number and I can give you some advice on this. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I got a repalcment engine as crank plus rebuild is more than buying a low mileage used engine.
