We are also trying to set up a "dyno day" before the "drag night". So it would be:
Dyno Day from 9am - 2pm
Lunch
Drag Night 4pm - 11pm
Thanks Marcus for hooking that up! You are the man!

I don't usually cross post threads to other forums, but this is a very generous deed by an M5board member who is donating the proceeds to Timmayfest's charity. Check this out guys....

...I am going to have to pester Jake/Jerry and see how they are getting there and see if they can duct tape me to the top of the RV and let me tag along. Don't think I will be driving the SRT up there, but am hoping to make it.

I know working with the WWP is still just developing, but have you thought about inviting the local vets out to the event, or having a color guard there in the morning, national anthem, or just something that would really emphasize the whole wounded warrior project connection?
Just my $0.02.

Planning for the meet is coming along nicely. Would you guys be willing to help out with the costs of the Escort? It is coming in at just under $700.......
$110 for the Parade permit
$40 per hour, per officer, 3 hour minimum, will probably need 3 officers. ($40 x 3 hours = $120 x 3 officers = $360)
$15 per hour for vehicle, 3 hour minimum ($15 x 3 hours = $45 x 3 vehicles = $135)
+9% (not sales tax, a different charge applied by CPD)
$110 + $360 + $135 = $605 + 9% = $659.45
I have a few people from the M5board and Ohiobimmers willing to donate, but I would like to spread it around if possible. If everyone can chip in a little bit, it would help out tremendously.
Thanks,
Tim

Thanks guys.....
The PayPal address is timmayfest (at) yahoo (dot) com
It is set up as a "charity account" with PayPal.
If we would happen to collect more than needed to pay for the escort, we would of course put the remainder of the money into the donation for The Wounded Warrior Project.
