I've got one coming, I can't wait to get it on with a new set of wheels. Far too plain looking now!

Some crappy cell shots will get some updated later this week.

Gary is awesome to deal with and will take care of you, very responsive great CS.

the kit itself is great out of the box but would reccomend some finishing from your bodyshop of choice.

I switched out the lower mesh for an oem piece as I preferrd the oem look vs what comes with the kit. I also went ahead an wrapped the chrome fog light rings in black vinyl.

I'm impressed! I ordered this bumper late Wednesday afternoon and Gary sends me a tracking number 30 minutes later. The bumper made the trip from Los Angeles to Orlando in six days and everything looks fantastic.

I have a question about the two pieces of foam, one on each corner of the bumper. Do these not get transferred over?

I haven't heard anyone say something about purchasing different ones or just not running them. I dropped the bumper off to be painted which was $332 then went to swapping but those two pieces of foam don't seem to fit on the new bumper insides.

I bought the 3 oem E63 plastic pieces that were mentioned and part numbers listed earlier in the thread to go inside and it seems like the pieces of foam have a part to them that doesn't allow them to fit all the way in and get locked in to the bumper on the corners.

I assume that most everyone had a body shop put the bumper on for them so they may not even know about this, but if anyone does know what you did about this I would appreciate it. I am about to just put the bumper on without them but it seems like it would make the bumper fit better since the back side of those foam pieces rest against the metal bumper of the car that is beind this new bumper cover.

Here is a quick pic of the bumper ready to go on before I took the stock bumper off.

I bought the OEM E63 foam as well and we used them in my install. Search for my posts with the parts.com list if you want them. Many others trimmed their pieces I believe. I bought the reinforcements: https://mbworld.org/forums/4986032-post147.html

Cool thanks, "Energy absorber" I guess is the term of what I need. I guess I can try trimming it first to make it fit and if not head on down to the dealer to see if they may have them in stock. Sucks I was just there earlier to buy a new center cap which I was surprised was only $18, didn't get raped bad at all on that part.

I didn't use the outer foam but trimmed the middle one to fit in the center of the bumper

How did you attach the chrome corner impact strips? Also how about the fogs?

The corner strips just snap right in. Press slowly and work your way around. You need to get the clips to slide on over the holes and screws to hold the fogs in.

I'm installing my bumper myself. What you need to do is remove the center reinforcement then drop in the outer foam pieces. Once those are in reinstall the center reinforcement plastic and drop the center foam piece into that.

The E55 foam pieces don't fit properly, the shape of them on the front side hits the inside of the bumper not allowing for the outter corner to pop in place beind that little "hook" sticking out from the black plastic bumper support. I actually shaved off a few of the parts of foam that protrude out and got it to sort of stay in place but when I went to put the bumper on it wouldn't slide all the way on the car correctly. I just said screw it and took it back of swapping the E55 bumper back on and am going to go get the correct foam pieces fo it to fit right. I don't feel like cutting stuff up more to try and rig it.

As for getting those corner foam pieces on though, all I did was slide the inside edge under that center suport and then with a little work got the outter corner behind that little lip/hook to hold the outside edge of the foam in place.

Regarding an earlier post, I just bought some nuts and bolts with lock washers from Home Depot to bolt the fog lights in place and the grills.

Ok, I played hell getting this bumper on, but finally got it done. I at first couldn't figure out why it wouldn't go all the way on. I trimmed the foam pieces some more and tried fitting again but still no go. I then got under the car and realixed the two connection points in the center of the bumper (the actual oem e63 plastic center piece I ordered that fits inside bumper) was hitting the Eurocharged heat exchanger not letting the bumper go back any farther. These were cut off on the original bumper to allow it to fit, so I simply cut those off all the way flush and then the bumper went on. A little fighting to get it lined up as good as I could and then a few bolts tightened and I was finished. Happy with the end product.
