My Next Mod - Could Use Your Advice

Quick question, based on my current mods (see sig), if you were me would you:
  1. Buy TTM scoops with Python tubes for around $900
  2. Buy Quaife LSD for around $900.
I know the install cost for the LSD is higher ($500) so that's something to consider.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Alex

Thanks! Any idea how much the TTM fuel rail and injectors cost? Just an estimate would be handy along with estimaged install price.

I know the TB is around $2K before install so that's a bit out of my mod/price range at the moment.

Thanks again.

Kleeman headers or maybe pulley (168) and tune. Both are within ball park of your budget.

I can get the LSD from EC for around $1K and a few shops around here I've asked said the install will take about 5 hours of labor for $100 per hour.

EC was running a special back in August for $898!

Seriously though nobody things I should go with the LSD given I have some good HP/TQ (500/600) at the wheels now? Do they not make much difference then?

There is nothing wrong with getting a the rail and injectors. But I would say anyone that has their car dyno tuned in the summer and runs it hard in the winter MUST have the rail for protection. Most of the number 8 failures are in the winter if you have winter temperatures then you need the rail.

OK thank you for this. As I live in AZ with fairly moderate temps (In the winter at least) and have taken some steps for summer heat management (Bigger EC HE) I think I'm OK here. I don't race or track my car and my AFR's are solid. (Thanks Jerry Stage 3 Tune!)

I do appreciate the advice here guys, seriously I'm an idiot with this sort of thing, but smart enough to realize this (most idiots do not realize they are in fact idiots) and so I ask the smarty pants people like you all.

Thanks again.

Skratch is selling his 80mm tb for $275. You would need the part that connects to the supercharger and then adapt to the airbox. You'd sure get a nice bump in power and you would feel it up top for sure.

Everyone is going 82s now but the 80s deliver a nice bang for the buck and no nightmare codes.

Just my 2 cents bro.

Good luck on the future mods.

Thank you, this helps! Just curious woud I need a retune from my current EC Stage 3 and what additonal HP would I see with the 80MM TB with my current mods. Just a ballpark would be handy.

Alex
