Considering a 2007 E63 AMG
Looking at one to buy 50K miles
Seems to be in good condition . Was able to find out it was properly serviced at dealer . Optioned up except Parktronic and Distronic .
Is there anything I should look for before buying . I have checked out the vehicle carefully . Last thing will be checking it out on a lift .
Thanks .

Wow, and I thought I was bad at making threads!
There are a handful of threads for this exact topic on pg 1 and 2.
Take it to a dealer and get the PPO check or whatever its called.

Getting a warranty is the best advise.
Unfortunately, I did not get a warranty and I've had about $5,000 worth of repairs in the first 6 months of ownership of my 2007 E63. That doesn't even account for the cost to fix the Pano roof, which broke the first day I had the car and remains broken because I don't want to pay several thousand dollars to be able to open it.
If I bought one again I would check the following items before buying:
1. Check the inside of the wheels for hairline cracks.
2. Check Pano roof.
3. Engine compression test (advice from other threads).
4. Airmatic
Note - I received a response from Arnott last week and they said their coil over conversion kit and rear Airmatic parts will be out in about a month.
5. Brakes
I can't think of anything else right now but I'm sure some others can chime in. Just be prepared for repair bills if you don't have a warranty. This car can eat you alive on repair costs but driving such an awesome beast is well worth it to me. I just wish things would quit breaking and eating into my budget for mods.

You showed great restraint and obviously spent the time to become knowledgeable about what you were buying by doing plenty of research in this site. Kudos to you and good luck. See you at N.E.D.
