Driver diet mod.
Some have removed the seats for racing and there are some expensive lightweight batteries to replace that stock monster. Dump the spare tire and tool kit, perhaps.

The whole "lose body weight" thing is stupid, not everyone is overweight ![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
As for the weight reduction I started a thread a while back about it. It depends how far you want to go and how much you wanna spend.
Coilovers will reduce alot of weight, so will light weight rotors and wheels, remember, rotating weight is more valuable and wheels and brakes are not only rotating but unsprung weight. Batteries are awesome for reduction. If you don't mind dropping the heavy seats get the 2011 Status Carbon seats. Carbon fiber driveshaft will help a little too since it's weight and it's rotating. ACPT will make one for you. If you really wanna go nuts (no pun intended) get Ti nuts and bolts where you can. You could probably save 5kg or so on the whole car, it'll add up. I wouldn't waste my time on it but if you're committed then why not. I'm surprised there aren't any Ti exhausts out there, that would save ALOT. Cars will pano have a disadvantage since it's very heavy and at the worse place for handling.
All in all there's ALOT to be saved but it'll cost you time and money.

Check his location. He is in Europe and thus, overweight like all Europeans. Now if he were in America, we could assume he was already at his ideal weight. As it stands, there's probably a good 40 extra Kg in that there European.

I'd say to focus on light weight wheel/tire combos - it's amazing how different a car can handle with that simple (albeit sometimes expensive) change...

2014 E63s amg 4matic, 2009 C63, 2006 E55 AMG , 2001.5 AUDI S4 stg 3+ w/meth
in the evo/ subi world they go to even more extremes and see even more dramatic effects... this is one of the reasons their 4 cyl cars can run in the 8s
not saying i would do it to my MB but it does work for those that are trying to dragstrip heros....
I would do it to my audi but not my MB as its my DD

As much as I agree that it's expensive and adding power is alot cheaper weight savings can be felt. You drop 250+ pounds off the beast and trust me you'll feel it everywhere. Weight reduction has no negative side effects. Plus after you reach a certain point in mods and you're maxed out power wise weight savings are like another ally into going faster. You drop 550 pounds off the cars weight and your 1/4 mile will go down, it's inevitable. By the way I know weight over the rear tires helps traction but a 550 pound drop in weight will benefit alot more than traction by weight. Most run radials anyway and I've seen cars with no weight at the rear launch hard.

lighter rotors
light weight rims
ditch stock exhaust (22lbs each muffler!)
ditch stock 2nd cats and resonator (another 50lbs)
ditch stock battery
remove spare tire
Really want to shed weight, remove the interior panels, seats etc like others have done before doing them 1/4runs lol

Out Of Control!!
These are all good suggestions. What ltw pieces would people want that there isn't already available? Maybe we can get someone to make these pieces since the E55 aftermarket is growing.
