Hope everything is ok Micheal. I've had a rough idle once from some bad gas. But never anything with a light.

I'm going to go pull whatever code was stored with my laptop in a bit. Perhaps that will shed some light.

Sorry guys and hope the cars are not to bad.I would unhook the batteries until the cars dry out incase of any shorting the water may cause.
I have heard of cars being totalled from electrical problems from flooding and hope yours are not that bad

I'm assuming Jerry's M5 in the top pics?
Bummer about both cars, that Boxster looks like it got an even worse fate.
Hope all works out well for you guys... rebuilding sucks.

Trying to think of stuff right in that lower bumper area. Airmatic comp most likely will be shot. Few sensors here and there but I am gonna try to spin it positive and say letting her FULLY dry out and I bet she will be fine.
Besides waves, to me it seems like she is juuuuuust high enough to prevent major damage. Water in cabin floor though.....honestly seems like 50/50 right now.
You just have helped too many of us for this to happen to you. Just sucks!!
Fingers crossed buddy.

Most, if not all of the sensors should be water tight. Same with ballasts for the lights, etc. He might have water in the headlight/foglight housings, but those are easily replaced.
Shardul - if you need an airmatic pump, I can give you the one that I was going to post in the pay it forward thread.

[QUOTE=BenzoDoc;4996931]I got sent home from work today to try and beat the flooding, but was sent out in the middle of it! I drove circles around my neighborhood for an hour looking for a way to get to my house, finally parked it on high ground when I saw these two trash cans floating down the middle of the street.
Decided to abandon the car there and walk to my house. On the way:
Helped this tech push this M5 to higher ground by my car...his had stalled.
That's crazy. Hope he didn't try to restart the M5, even if it sucked water in there is good chance it could be saved. Glad to see your E55 survived. Flash floods are no joke.

Wow that's terrible to see. I have a lot of family down in Houston, hope everyone's safe down there and the damage isn't to bad.

I wouldn't sweat it...I've had my car is that much water with no issues. Here in PR it is common to have floods like that cause it rains so much so people are pretty used to it. I see flooding like that 6-7 times a year with lesser flooding nearly on a monthly bases.
