Jerry has been keeping a eye on the car. Just go a text from him saying water has receded and car is dry. I will have to go by there after work to check it out.

I got sent home from work today to try and beat the flooding, but was sent out in the middle of it! I drove circles around my neighborhood for an hour looking for a way to get to my house, finally parked it on high ground when I saw these two trash cans floating down the middle of the street.
Decided to abandon the car there and walk to my house. On the way:
Helped this tech push this M5 to higher ground by my car...his had stalled.
I'm in the highest point of the street, standing in the middle of the prior picture's intersection. I'm 6'1" and the water is up to nearly my inseam.
Called a shoe hospital to ascertain the best way to treat these guys. Yes those are rocks.
View from my balcony.
So on to the bad news:
In the midst of driving home with ever-rising waters, my "check coolant, visit workshop" message popped up, car smelled a bit like coolant and sounded a bit funny. I have since driven the car home when the waters receded, my garage doesn't smell overwhelmingly like coolant and the message has since disappeared. Any ideas? I pulled off the intake housings and my filters are dry, and there is no puddle of coolant under my car. Coolant level looked fine when the fill cap was removed. Idle was rough when driving home in the rain, but idles fine in the garage now.
