I guess this is good-bye...
This has been the best car forum that i've been a part of. The level of knowledge and willingness to help by members is fantastic.

I sold my 2004 E55 a few weeks ago & bought a 2012 E550 4Matic.

I am going to miss the raw power of the beast, but at the same time, it sure is nice to have a brand new AWD for our winters with all the goodies.

Thanks to all of you for a great 3+ years on this board!

you need to tune it,

the truth is the CLS550 bi-turbo was almost as fast as a tock 55K,

so tune it for the extra 50 - 60 hp and you will love it.

+ 1 The new TT engines including the 4.6s are still very potent. I bet the 4.6s will get mods that will make them faster than the new M5, it's still a bigger engine and very technologically advanced. It sucks now that a non-AMG 550 can match a stock E55 with just a tune but hey it's good news for you. You might wanna do an AMG body conversion later too because the W212 looks best in E63 form
