04 White E55 Yes or No?

04 White E55 Yes or No?
I have been in the market for a white or black E55 for about 3-4 months and finally found an 04 E55 for $24,000 with about 48xxx mi on it around philly where I live. The vehicle has every option except pano roof and distronic and looks very clean. it also has sum upgrades like sec cat and resonator delete, carbon fiber front and rear lip, carbon fiber diffuser, and flat badges. there are no pics i can post because his craigslist list post just expired.
like I said, the vehicle looks very clean, but has no record of servies and the owner said he never had problem with the car?
I know white E55 is rare but is 24,000 a right price for the car (price is firm)? where there are other E55's mostly black and silver for around 22K.

24k seems fair. The only thing I would do is look for 05-06. Even with slighly more miles, I believe in buying newer car vs miles. In my mind years kill's the car not miles ( of course if it was properly maintained)

How many miles do the other cars have? Price actually seems reasonable. I have pano and distronic. Stay away from pano. It has too many noise issues and is expensive to repair. I have used distronic only a couple of times...way too much traffic in my city. Good luck!!

I would never buy a car with no service history but that is just me. There are so many potential issues with a car you have no history on that I just do not think it is worth it. Especially given the market is saturated with e55's.

I'll call BS on the service records, because all 03 and 04s had 100% free service for the first 4 years & 50k miles. So the dealer will have records of all service and warranty work done on the car at any Mercedes dealership up to 08-09.
The 05 and 06 did not have this, so the chance of skipped service would be greater on 05-06.
I keep records and logs and feel that if that car had records it would bring $3-4K more.
At 48k miles asking $24k for a white E55 won't last long.

It does not have Pano and I hesitate only because the seller told me no service available because he worked on the car himself just like I do everything on my cars myself. But after reading so many thread about E55 problems and maintenance, many say having records available will show if the owner took care of the car which makes a big difference in such a high performance car.

VIN is WDBUF76JX4A400784 and i just took it to the dealer to check the service records. The car has an extensive service record up to 93xxx miles but the car shows only about 48xxx miles on the odometer. The service advisor said that may be when the car was in the dealer, they put Kilometer instead of Miles or the owner did a roll back.

Pretty ****ty on the mileage discrepancy. Who know what else would be up with the car. As good of a deal as it sounded, i would pass if it were me. Take your time and find the right one. Good luck.

Thank you all for the help, i am gonna pass on this car the seller just cant be trusted after running such a scam. When i told him im gonna take the car for PPI at mercedes dealer, he did not allow me to by saying that he does not trust mercedes tech and everytime he took the car to the dealer, he found later they did something wrong or something missing!
