One is untouched the other has a cut that can be welded shut...I reccomend they get gutted...but the cut was made where it wouldn't be visible..I'll. Put pics up later I'm on my cell phone. Make offers

+1 I rode around for two days without any mufflers and straight pipe cut off right at axle and it is loud!! Awesome at first, but then just annoying.

Me too. Then I put in lightweight glass packs in place of the muffler and it was what I was looking for ..... Better the stock but not as loud as no muffler.

i doubt you gained enough (if any) top end to make up for the lost torque but i'm glad you like it...

they do. you can tune most of the tq back but without a tune you're just making more noise as you go slower. i lost a noticeable amount of tq just gutting my mufflers!

I didnt lose any torque when i straight piped.

Def. worth doing. Leave the resonator in if you dont want it too loud

Different dynos, so I cant really compare.

Last dyno on a dynomite dyno:

Stock pulley, stock headers. No resonator or mufflers - all cats in place

No car in the history of mankind has ever required any back pressure, why should the E55?

I still haven't run into a car that lost power due to reduced back pressure yet. Less backpressure = better cylinder scavenging on a N/A or Supercharged application. Pretty sure turbo's are the same, I know turbodiesels are. I don't have much experience with turbo gasoline motors though.

Basically - this was supposed to be a standard ebay auction. After winning the auction, and paying, I got a note from itr456 saying that ebay messed up the shipping costs and under-calculated them. He asked if I would augment the cost and I said that this was a disappointment to me, but I really wanted the mufflers so go ahead and send them and I would pay the shipping difference. It has been many days now, and he is avoiding my correspondence etc...

I checked the OP hasn't been active on this forum since Sept 2013. Maybe something happened?

Personally, I would file a dispute with ebay ASAP while you're still within a reasonable timeframe since auction close (11 days). Just to be safe.

Yeah - I noticed the same thing... The only reason I posted here was because when I googled his ebay user name, it also showed up on this forum and because of his lack of communication, I thought I could try a different avenue and meet him among peers. What douche baggary... Perhaps I am wrong to judge, he could have experienced a family tragedy or something - just frustrating...

Definitely file a dispute with ebay today. I've had to do this, unfortunately twice, with great success both times.
And yea, I agree. It is frustrating to say the least, I've been there before myself. Good luck.
