I love matching the color on the grill and fog inserts.

I have been considering powder coating the grill on my cat due to paint coming off due to 87k or road debrise. I may have to rethink that. I can not powder coat plastic very easily, but I can paint them.

Also, noted you used the cheaper fog lights rather than the correct E63. The E63 has a different part number for left and right:
209-820-07-56 Fog Lamp Left
209-820-08-56 Fog Lamp Right

These do a better job of lighting the side of the road and eliminate the gap between the insert and the fog light. I think you probably had to modify the wiring harness because these used a different connection than the stock ones.

Found the pictures, first is stock and the second is what I think you have.

@Jon2007E63P30 Not sure if you can see in the pics, but my gap is less than either of what you posted. See the dyno pic. HID 35w for fogs so wiring was not an issue anyhow.

Yes they are. Fitment is not OEM, a PITA to adjust, but they work well once adjusted out.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Still work in progress. We all know how that is. My kids love hanging out with dad in the garage and getting involved, and when we visit the hardware store they are pretty familiar with the basic tools knowledge.

A member came up over the weekend for a lowering and mentioned a SoCa meet. I will make the next one.....

I just noticed you have the 200mm, how do you like it? Is the engagement jerky and did you do any IAT logging before your meth install brotha?

Process was strip old OEM bumper, paint bumper, both fenders, and blend into hood along with a full clear of the entire front clip. All completed in my garage. Cough Cough. Everything color sanded and finalized with Menzerna intensive, Wolfgang, and polished out with Pinnacle Signature II.

Front grill, mesh, and fog inserts were painted GT-R K11 as I am shying away from black. I located some factory matching mesh for the side bumper gills and painted them the same and attached to the inside of the bumper. Prefer it to some empty holes. The black wheels will soon be gone for something else which I will paint the same color-just patiently waiting for some non chrome local wheels to come my way.

Star lowered, but I think I will drop the front a tad more next time I hook it up. Anyhow, enjoy.

OK, I know this is a rear shot.....

Insert primered. The chrome piece is really glued on so I had to mask it off.

Front bumper mesh, aftermarket mesh (top), and Grill in primer stage.

Painted and cleared

Even the boys pitched in. For a very small amount of time until they realized this was work.

Primered

Easier to just yank the fenders and prep on a table.

4 coats of clear

On dyno a while back at the EC dyo tune.
Wow, thats gorgeous!!

Do get a bit of jerk from time to time, no bad though, in fact had more with the 180mm lighter pulley. No meth, prefer to keep things 'contained', no ice or refills so I'm proceeding with the Killer Chiller setup.

Thanks,

I've asked a couple times in a couple threads --- how do you like those headlights ? Did you have factory HID before ?

THanks man!

THanks man!

I prefer the looks compared to the old bubble eyed look. Just breaks up the roundness. LEDs work well. They certainly get noticed. Overall light distribution is not as even as what I had prior which was better than the OEM HIDs anyhow. 55w HID kit, not OEM. PITA to adjust. So far no leaks, fog, or issues.

With the 55w hids, city lights, and 35w HID fogs, they match up pretty good with a nice stance coming at you. Not for everyone, but for me it gives the car an updated look when parked next to another.

Nice brotha, I just picked up a 195mm from Brooke (Exotic Metal). Keep us informed on how you like the killer chiller with that setup.

I think I am going to run that 195mm with meth and E85, so we shall see.You car looks amazing as usual bro, major props And yes, I would definitely stamp it as been certified

You get that new lightweight interchangeable setup from him? Looking good. Still unsure why my jerkiness is down. Perhaps heavier pulley absorbs more 'shock', or the tune by EC, both? . The belt is not any tighter than what I had with the 180 so go figure. Thanks for the props. Wait till I get my hands on a dually F350 4x4 7.3. Going all out with that.

Forgot to add that all emblems were removed, sanded, and also 2 stage painted GT-R color with 4 coats of clear to match the grill and mesh.

Hey thanks. I keep banging my head on whether to hold onto those wheels, strip them, and refinish in the same GT-R paint as the rest of the exterior misc items or just get new wheels. These are light, strong, and besides the cleaning time and tired black look, they are awesome wheels.

I know that dilemma all too well! It seems like the best route is to keep these, and add a different set to the stable, so you can go back and fourth. I'd love to see some lighter color, maybe 5-spoke design on this Beast as well. Perhaps with some Angelina lips

Beautiful Job Pearl- I would be afraid to take it out on the roads for fear of messing up the paint/body !!
Love the wheels.

And here I thought my contraption was clean. That thing is immaculate! I'm thinking about having the crack in my front bumper repaired, repainting the whole thing, then doing the 3M clear wrap as it's riddled with rock chips now.

Thumbs up

Flawless job! !! Seeing how nice yours came out is really pushing me to pull the trigger on the E63 conversion as well.
Incredible that you were able to pull this off without a spray booth.

That E63 conversion buy is fantastic though I did mine prior to that deal. It is tougher to paint in the 3 car garage vs a dedicated booth. Setting up, filter, fans, cleanup, and then keep everything dialed down as even turning around with the gun in hand could whip the hose into a freshly painted part. Though I painted the son-in-laws old entire Maxima in it, I highly recommend a booth for larger jobs.

Beautiful work and very nice photography! I just bought the E63 conversion and was going to go black on the grille but now I may be thinking otherwise. The dark grey looks amazing.
