This monster shares the same platform as the already deadly CTS-V, but in a lighter more sporty chassis. Looks like SLP already has a tame 750HP package out for this monster.
Nothing like a blown (Eaton 1.9L) pushrod V8 6.2L, with a 6Spd Tremec with ual clutch setup.
What do you guys think of the styling and potential this car has, I think
I think this car and the 2013 GT500 Shelby are going to have some major wars in the near future
For tunability, I think I would opt for the ZL1, although I hate to admit that I could see myself chasing one of these once depreciation has set in in this exact color, Victory Red! The only major question is, do you opt for the 6 Spd or the dual clutch auto.

I am sure the GT500 will be underrated along with the ZL1. I am not sure on production numbers but I would guess around 8000/yr. I am just thinking modular motor vs. Pushrod motor, there is just a way bigger aftermarket for the LS platform compared to the DOHC 4 valve.
Also, an auto in this zl1 with stall, tcu tune and valve body will be an absolute assassin.
Just super excited about this and yes it will come through in the $50k price range with the GT500 probably in the high $60k's.

Careful, do not confuse the SLP ZL1 with the Chevy ZL1...they are NOT the same AT ALL. The SLP ZL1 is a regular camaro SS that is supercharged with an aftermarket unit. The Chevy ZL1 is an oem monster with magnetorheological struts.
I like the chevy one MUCH better.

I have never owned a ls car or Chevrolet for That matter, We all know how much those cars love heads cam intake combos with spray.
I am curious to see if this platform stomps the current ctsv that is so successful on the street and coupe.

I was seriously considering a '10 camero and adding the SC before I bought another e55 but the camaro with SC would have run me $10k more and I hated the interior / 'image'. I'd take one if these or another z06 :-)

You dont know what youve been missing with those itty bitty supercharged modular motors Autotragics have serious technology now, like you say a stalled auto in some of the newer cars and are downright lethal! No rowing necessary.

And yes the new ZL1 will be a monster! I keep trying to convince my pops to pick up a used C6Z instead of one of these. He's done camaro's & fbodies his whole life and used to love driving my corvette.... he's stubborn though and wont listen!
something about these pigs just does not do it for me enough...
They should have kept on roaring with Pontiac and done these in OEM fashion (not these aftermarket kitted up 5th gen Camaro's). These would have put Pontiac back on the map... that and the advancement of further years G8's.
YUMMY

Gt500 or ZL1
Well, I'v been in a 2011 GT500 and checked out the SS cam. And all I can say is the battle of the best of cheap *** interiors .. I'd go with the Mustang better interior plastics . It is pathetic the Domestic auto put cheap quality interiors in these cars especially the high end GT500 and ZL1 than price them at 50 grand plus, at least Ford is trying to up grade the Mustang interiors , the Chevy felt like they robbed Ravel model cars for plastic parts , Unbelievable, both cars look really "HOT"

Yeah...I LOVE how sick Camaro's look but their interior really makes me wonder what they were thinking. Mustangs suck as well, but they suck less. The 2011+ Camaro's though have a nice steering wheel at least.
