Which bike would you park next to the E55?

So I currently have a 2000 Road King that I threw up on Craigslist to sell and a guy offered to trade even for a chopper.
The HD has quite a few motor mods, 15,000 miles and is in great shape. It should be worth $9,000.
The chopper is a 2007 Big Bear with a 113 inch motor with very few miles. I have no clue what it is worth but suspect a pretty narrow band of buyers.
So what would you guys do?

There's a reason he wants to trade you straight up - the chopper looks like a hard tail. . .if so, if you've never ridden one, you're in for a surprise (and not in a good way). Also, rake looks cool but to actually have to turn it (especially coming from a RK). . .then there's the reliability involved - can't really take it to the "Big Bear" dealership. Most of those "custom" choppers are crate motors on mass produced frames with tanks source from West Coast, some metalic paint and a lot of chrome. . .If you really want to go "chopper", but enjoy the ride, get the same amount of attention, and have dealer support, check out the HD Rocker "C" (Disclaimer, I ride crotch rockets but I did take a RK from Miami to Key West and back - great ride. . .right up until you hit 75 mphs, take a turn and feel the chassis twist underneath you - that being said - if I got a cruiser, it would be a new RK)

depends on what you are looking for - 2 completely dif rides - Big Bear Choppers are usually going for 20K new. That 113inch motor is prob worth $5K alone - if the reach is not uncomfortable go for it - but i would change/add some things - ie that paint is boring and those spoke wheels look cheap mix it up with some PM wheels or new spoke wheels with painted hub - or sell the HD and buy a Duc - SportClassic

right up until you hit 75 mphs, take a turn and feel the chassis twist underneath you - that right there is the beauty of HD softail design - first time it happened to me i almost ****e myself - thought something was broken. i don't think its a hardtail

You are correct sir, not a hard tail. The shocks are parallel to the ground so it's similar to a soft tail.

Oh, belt drive too. I have never owned a chopper, rode one once a few years back. I remember it not being the best handling piece I've ever been on. Spoiled from all the sport bikes I've had I guess.

Those custom bikes are worthless. I had a Titan back in the day and no one wants them used. That is strictly a "bar bike" and I know you are not a super biker bar guy Warren. Oh and take your snowman down, it is Feb.

^^^^ - I was actually surprised at how easy HD's are to ride - it was group of four of us (not one of us had rode a HD before - we had 2 springers and two RK and rotated - I LOVE the RKs (so - so on the springers - but that was mainly because of the bars). . .but oh good Lord, choppers, talk about fighting everything that the bike doesn't want to do (like turn, stop and be any sort of buffer for your spine and kidneys). . .

Just so we're clear, not my house, bike or snowman!

Guess I should probably pass on it, just thought it might be worth more than the Road King.

I love you man!!!! Yea, pass on that turd. Plus, I would pull up to Harley guys on that Titan and they acted like I was on a crotch rocket. Only a select like those custom turds.

The road king. I'd change out the bars on it though.

Of course I'm biased as I park this next to my E55.

2014 E63, Cobra replica, 68 Camaro, 66 Chevy II SS, Z4 BMW, Honda Element, Birel 125cc Shifter Kart.
Rode choppers for years back in the 70's before switching to sport bikes and would never, ever, even consider another HD. I'd park two next to my E55. A Ducati for fun and a BMW for road trips. Not that I don't like the Jap bikes but, the Ducati is pure sex and the BMW is, well, a BMW.

I don't get the Harley thing at all and don't understand why anyone buys them when there are bikes that are soooo much better for less money.

Stay safe y'all.

Seen too many dead bikers. Probably 6 a month? Some injuries are just not survivable, even at the largest trauma hospital in the states.

Make sure you're an organ donor though. Please.

Worked with the area transplant teams for four years. . .and can't agree more on the donor aspect (funny thing though, the head of transplant at a major program rides everyday - in rain, in the winter, even came in once on his bike when it was snowing....He was a certifiable lunatic (in a good way) but even I was like "dude, you're the head of transplant").

Perfect bike for cruising, strafing, being gawked at, sound, insurance. . .ducati monster s4r(s)....only thing that sucks I'd the range (lowest I've seen is 65 miles to low fuel warning...yes, really, 65 miles)

^LOVE that front wheel on the Road King!!!!!
