PORTED FACTORY BLOWER
Is it worth is and what would be aprox gains? My shop mentioned it today but I was unsure as what the results would be. It seems people have done it but combined with TBs and other stuff so no real numbers.

I've been wondering about this is well. Seemed to be somewhat popular on the blowers on the Ford Lightning maybe chawkins will pop in and shed more light on this as he had a lightning I believe. I'm not even sure what exactly get's ported on a blower like this to be honest.
A throttle body port can be done by most anyone with a dremel and some common sense, patience, and a somewhat steady hand.

I wasted my $$ sending mine to stiegemier in Dec 2010 for them to do some "clean up/opening up" and was then told that our blowers don't really offer much room for improvement like the eaton blowers do.

+1 with above. Just try to open that TB up as much as possible. Our cars are STARVING for air. When we were dyno tuning my car, new airbox (vrp) and part that connects the blower to the TB (forgot the name) gained me 20-30wheel hp over stock. Again it was on a highly modified car that was starving for air.

port matching has always been worthwhile - I don't see why it wouldn't benefit the blower
the guy in this thread gained 28hp/28tq - different vehicle, but it's proving what you'd want to do... it's just optimizing airflow

I found with ported heads, it does help to open the intake inlets up on the blower ports that bolt to intake ports. Did not mess with the air inlet into the rotors but did clean up the blower TB inlet some. If all that make sense.
