Who says diesel can't run?
back to topic, if I knew the end of the world was coming this Dec 21st, The Raptor would be high on my list as you never know what you might need to run over and standard petro is more plentiful.
And the outdated E55 interior walks all over this molded ABS. The quality of material in the E is way better. Is the design fresh? No its 12yrs old... still better quality product
Having said that... I wouldnt trade the E55 for a raptor but I would add the raptor to my garage if I could afford it... its just BAD ***... Snow fun, summer beach fun, and its factory warrantied

It's just a direct injected turbo'd gas engine.. all this "ecoboost" branding is a load of horse sh*t.

it's not... it's a gas engine with a turbo on it.
yawn.

sadly they'll never do that.. because they're all retarded.
I got back in my E55 and felt 'swoopy' and speed came without much effort, yes. But the Raptor left an impression.
03-06 common rail cummims is where its at with what you get for your money right now in my opinion.
Would add my two cents in as I used to race Toyota trucks at baja. The suspension on the raptor is basically a long travel, long arm kit where its just setup for travel and not corning ability on road. Their isn't any dampening or electronic stability for it to act different on the road or else the suspension would be more expensive and probably more dangerous off road (breakage) thats why he has triple bypass (probably not stock on a raptor) for cooling purposes.. probably a reason why the truck did 15s in a 1/4 is the thing had put so much travel to the rear it probably lost a second or two.. don't forget the sidewall size of the tires will also slow it down.
the ability to bomb through the desert and do some light rock crawling with it just makes it a fun freaking vehicle. Though it being 4wd limits it from having an even longer travel front end (4wd axles can only droop so much)
but honestly from someone who has driven a daily driven 4wd toyota 4runner on 37s, mercedes is going to be that much more comfortable on road. I plan on selling my 4runner and getting an 05-06 e55. Tired of bouncing around on the road like a freaking bobble head doll. Don't forget, long travel suspension is built for going fast, not slow, so it tightens up at speed and will make it will take bumps better at speed, you will bobble around when driving around town.

Sweet, Ford is really killing it right now.
I forgot about that quote in your sig. Awesome.
