wasn't on the mazda - you keep guessing though

25 years of driving = more cars that you know about

IMO i would do both as said above x pipe and straight pipe.
The OP was given sound advice by Andrew and BlkE55K already but as we've figured out the OP was not really grasping the concept. With things already going downhill I didn't want TURDSTER giving bad advice!

so you're saying by changing the tone of his exhaust while removing drone is bad advice?

lets just take are loses and move on from another pointless thread. I agree with Emoving the quality of the car is still there after all these years, but the quality of the people who own some of these cars is dropping in value ugh.

Why is there so much noob bashing lately? It seems like every other thread turns into some sort of bashfest.

I don't contribute much because I don't know much about cars. I'm not a technical expert like some of you guys. Many people on here have made amazing contributions, which have helped everyone.

Naturally, there is going to be a continuous turn-over of members in this section as the cars get older and less costly. The new members coming on here aren't buying $100k+ cars. They are mostly buying sub $30k cars that use to cost $100k+. I don't think insulting and bashing these noobs is the way this forum wants to go. Everybody needs to realize the W211 AMG platform is not an exclusive club anymore. If you want exclusivity, move up to the W212 AMG.

I also think Toady is getting too much of a hard time. The guy is obviously trying to participate and contribute. Whether or not his posts contain solid advice is up for debate but I have got to give him some credit for trying and being persistent.

Can't we all just get along and have a good time? Don't bash me for my anti-bash stance.

I take the same stance. There are many annoying people on forums, many annoying people everywhere...and everyone has opinions.

JUST as annoying is reading the same douchebag comments in every single thread from the bashers, over and over. If someone annoys you, why fill threads with more bull**** and turn every thread into a pissing match...why continue the douchebaggery??? Contrary to popular opinion here that doesn't help at all. Half of the people here would never speak like this to someone's face and nobody talks to me like that. Why does the internet turn people into know it all tough guys?

Also, the OP seems to have a language barrier. Members treating him like he's mentally handicapped because of it is ridiculous. GROW UP.

I try to only post if I have something to contribute. I have plenty of experience with cars and forums, and do alot of my own research. I still don't bash on people who like to ask questions (even though some NEED to learn where the search function is).

OP-Lots of good advice here if you filter through the crap. Search this site and youtube for sound clips of different setups. You're not going to gain much in the way of power if you keep stock manifolds so if sound is your aim there is MANY different options. I am going with Eurocharged OR CLS55 mufflers, X-pipe, and later on maybe headers. Good luck.
