335i's are stepping up there game
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=650145
saw this over on e90post
this car has a medium sized turbo on it with a maxed out map sensor making 585whp on 20 psi.
the tuner claims with a bigger map the car will make 600whp easy and with the bigger turbo the car will eventually make 800whp now that 800 number is all just a claim but the 585whp and the 600whp numbers are actually true.
i would like to see a single turbo 335i or 135i go up against a well modded e55

2005 E55 AMG
Yea this came up not long ago...the torque curve is very flat and boost hits in a good spot after a shift...this set up with proper wheels and tires on the auto tranny should hit low 10s at 130+

So how much would it cost to keep the engine from exploding under that much boost?
And if you are going to one larger turbo that pushes more boost, how long will it take to get power?

The 07-08 n54 motors have forged internals. Should be able to hold up to 25psi on this turbo just fine. The auto tranmy will need to be built and it would need upgraded halfshafts. With these mods it will be a monster of a car. Boost Also hits around 4k. No where near as low as stock but a lot of it was unusable before.

looks promising, but after all of Shiv's shenanigans back when he was a Suby tuner I wouldn't be surprised if the claims are artificially hyped and the motor goes boom soon. I agree Pearlpower, the numbers don't be jack till the get track times down.

I agree 335s are not exactly on E55s level in terms of class, room, prestige
but 335s are still very nice cars , my friend has an 07 coupe 335i and just with basic bolt ons and a chip he ran 11.95 at the drag strip.. Thats pretty impressive by any standards in nearly a stock car and he also get nearly 30mpg on hwy...not bad at all

Wait but can't I get a used GT500, put a Kenne Bell SC on it and deliver 800HP/800 lb/tq with stock internals?
