Man what an amazing bird and I was just in such a good mood after seeing it.I think its an endangered species but not sure.Anyway the video does not do it justice and in person it looked a lot bigger.

You can't see the white tail and head on the vid. Was she white head and tail?

Beautiful anyway eh?

What a great shot. Beautiful bird. They have been on the endangered list for some time now.
The pounds per square inch on their talons is second to none, Even stronger than the hawk.
Probably out looking for a nice meal !!!
Thanks for the cool pic.

It's good to see these birds thriving again. I got an osprey in my neighborhood that I see a couple of times a month. It's a great indicator of how life can rebound given a chance. The environment has definetly improved in my concrete jungle.

I can only imagine how big that bird is. A couple years ago, there was an injured barn owl at my neighbors house and I put it in a box about the size of an under counter Vinotemp. The bird barely fit in there!

Actually, it came off the endangered list, I think in 2007, which is great news.

One thing I'll miss about Iowa. Used to see them all the time. Some times during the year, daily.

I'll never forget when some birds in a field next to me spooked and all took off together. Must have been 40+ bald eagles. My wife and I just sat there stunned.

Love'em.

No problem buddy.i have a big heart for mother nature and just today i snapped some pictures of 2 blue jays sitting next to one another and rubbing there beeks together.i felt vad for the eagle since he most def is lost.i dont think there known to be seen in my area and i think it has something to do with the warm weather we have been having.
