Took my car to a euro car dyno day...lol.

I was the ONLY AMG benz...a few other benz's were there but no AMG's. They had tons of VW's, BMW's and Audi's and some Porsche's....but guess who came out on top?

This was on a Mustang Dyno. I did two consecutive runs...one a 3rd gear pull which put me on the top of the list and the second run was a 1/4 mile run and I had ZERO cool down time between the runs ( YIKES! ). My car was so heat soaked that mid way through 3rd on the run I lost almost 70whp. It felt like it just bogged. I ran 11.4@117mph putting in a 4217lb weight ( I weighed with me inside and it came out to this ) with the heat soak issue. I would have loved to do a cool run but we were being pushed along.

I need more cooling mods for sure. Ambient temps were 90+*.

EDIT: I just found out that my dyno was beat by a GTI VR6 turbo just after I left. He put down 470whp...lol. crap.

Good lord, bunch of weak *** cars there. Looks like all of them were basic "chipped" cars on stock turbo.

Yup...I was in luck. The last dyno day I attended had quite a few 600-1000whp cars and I decided not to put mine on the dyno. Today, on the other hand, it was a no-brainer to put mine on the rollers..lol.

Beetle "big turbo" which means it probably had something like an APR stage 3 kit on it which is a GT28rs size turbo. That would be my guess from the power it made.

I would have been there but I was at Salinas going around corners. I would have loved to come in second to your car and ahead of all those VW's.
(BTW ... I may need to borrow your tuning cable)

Correct, Beetle Big Turbo. Don't know what turbo it had though.

Well, in my experience, he'll go boom before long and you'll still be going strong. I prefer reliable power.

Oh trust me, as do I. I raced this car once when he put down 440whp ( keep in mind, it's a 2700lb car ) and I beat him by a few car lengths. Even rolling at 60mph ( he had massive wheel spin below that ) I still beat him by a decent amount. I love the E55 for being such a great drag racer...lol.
