Is it possible to upgrade the APS 50 on my 2003 E55 to a Euro Comand and use my existing wiring? I know this can be done if upgrading to Comand NTG 1.

 

Yes you can but you need to get DVD nav drive. I have Euro comand for sale.

 

If I don't need navigation, can I just use the head unit alone? Can this play DVD? Will this hook up to my existing Harman Kardon amplifier? Can you send me picture of the unit and price?

 

Oh if you don't need navi then yes it will be plug and play. Someone else did it on here. $500 and it plays DVDs

 

Would it also be possible to install an iPod interface? Would you know which one works for the euro comand? Would appreciate a picture if possible to see cosmetic wear. Thanks

iPod isn't included obvisously. That is a seperate item completely. the AUX button activates iPod. I had this installed in US w211 (E500)

 

What brand iPod interface do you have? How much would you be willing to sell this?

It is a soft button meaning you have to press Audio Button, which will give you 3 options ( Radio, AUX, CD )

so command is plug-n-play for '03 e55's with audio50? all i want is the aux button to connect my ipod (iphone).

 

The 2004+ comand unit is 100% plug and play in a 2003 e55. You will need an extra cable from the dealer for the aux port however (I think the part is # A211 540 99 10)

Yes it is the same exact radio but with the video option.

no iPOD IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT as I stated before. It is a add on
