E63 LED City Lights Install Help

I purchased the LED Wedge City Lights from a vendor on here and I'm having a horrible time figuring out how these install. I just got back from an indy MB shop and 3 expert techs are also baffled. These are suppose to be plug and play according to all the posts and experiences on here but there is absolutely nowhere to plug these into. The current LED is soldered onto the circuit board. The only thing I can figure is that somebody at some point changed something out. Check out these pics and let me know what you think.

There also pics of the LED foglights that are suppose to be plug and play. They too absolutely will not fit properly in the sockets.

Any help would be great.

I'm really thinking that the previous owner changed some things out and we are looking at aftermarket parts in those first two pics. I checked parts.com and there is nothing in the headlight schematics that look anything like those two pieces.

Hmmm are you changing City/Parking lights or foglights? 4th picture looks like a H7 bulb and your trying a 9006 bulb I assume? Edit your pictures with arrows to show what is what. I think the last owner didn't do anything and you simply ordered wrong bulbs.

P.S. What is the first picture of?

I'm changing the city/parking lights and the fog lights.

The first two pics are of the city/parking light hardware. You can see the newly ordered LED wedge on the left. Then in the middle is some kind of circuit board with one LED on it - this was in the car when we took the headlight out. The third object in that pic is some plastic thing that attached to the circuit board and protruded through the hole in the headlight, where I am assuming the old halogen bulb went. That plastic thing seems to guide the light from the single LED on that circuit board out into the headlight. I can't imagine this is stock hardware.

The third picture doesn't really show anything.

The fourth picture shows the original H7 fog bulb attached to the wiring harness and bulb holder. Above that you can see the newly ordered LED fog light. The online vendor is telling me that is the replacement for the H7 fog bulb and there is a error free canceling cable not shown. The error free cable and the bulb work great plugged into the car. However, there is just no way that bulb will fit snuggly into the fog light housing.

The fifth picture just shows the newly ordered LED fog inserted into the fog housing. It doesn't seat properly in the housing and would just fall out.

Does that circuit board thing look like something MB would put in that light? Also, my owner's manual says that city/parking light is a halogen bulb in stock form.

For the fog you need a pig tail harness which is basically 9006 into H7.

Do you have the picture of the circut board when it was inside the headlight? I have no idea what that is either

The square circuit board is the led parking lamp. It comes with the vehicle and is not aftermarket. Perhaps it only comes with vehicles that are equipped with factory hid lighting , I don’t know for certain. My vehicle is an 07 e320 Bluetec with p1 and p2 package , thus the Hid lighting.

I also have removed my square circuit board , but for another reason , it is defective.

I will purchase yours if you don’t need it. I’m still looking for a part number for that item.

This is stock and as it should be.
The fog is correct as well.

I am guessing your LED supplier does not know the car. And you have not read your manual. P444 in mine says "Parking and Standing Lamp with Bi-Xenon System = LED". The non bi-xenon system uses a W5W.
The fog is H11.

After lots of confusion, we did finally get it figured out.

The LED setup that comes with the bi-xenon package isn't that great. There is only one LED providing light. The folks with the halogen setup get the halogen bulb city lights and a different bulb socket. They then buy the wedge type LED's and simply push them into the socket.

We ordered the bulb socket that would come with the halogen setup and then transferred the power wires from the LED circuit board to the halogen bulb socket, then plugged the new wedge type LED into the halogen socket. Everything works great now.

The part number for the halogen bulb socket is A0018263582 (pic attached) - it is about $15.

We were also able to get the 68 LED fog light bulb (see beside regular fog in 4th pic) to work in the fogs. They look amazing at night.

Bringing this one back up...

So if you "Have the Bi-Xenon" factory headlights, you cant swap out the "City Lights" without modifying parts??

I just bought some 194 "Wedge" LED from AZN Optics and for the life of me I cant see how the factory ones come out without removing the headlight assembly. Either that or my fat hands just wont allow for it. But your pics above in the first post indicate that the "Wedge" style wont work anyways..

Anybody confirm??
