Day 5 of owning my E55...

1) Front brake pads...I think for $91K they could of been a hair more generous w/ the front brake line length...Geez! Only hard part was working the c clamp with the 2" of brake line they so generously provide!

2) TTM air scoops ordered (Impulse buy...can't hurt )

3) After a few PM's...ordering the Eurocharged Stage 1 tune, I was tempted to go the full route however i backed off....want to do it right (learned from the past about doing "half" the project) and do the injectors at the same time.

4) Just installed the factory "old school" Mercedes emblem, it had the cute little blue button on the hood like my GL550....I LOVE the emblem

Did u replace the rotors too? Changing pads is like a 10 minute job per corner and no caliper has to be removed.

Calipers only need to come off to change the disc. Pins need to be knocked out and retaining spring should pop off and pads slide out.

I presume you unplugged the SBC unit or disabled it via STAR?

Nope...just did them like I've done any car Ive ever owned for years...I was under the impression the electrohydraulic system turned off 20 seconds after the doors were locked (which i did) I love to learn, could you tell me where this SBC system is if I need to unplug it and do I have to pop the calipers off the rear? Thanks!
