Renntech V2 w/ remote, any interest? Problems on E63
I have a malfunction with an up arrow in a vehicle sign on startup, but everything works perfectly, you can bypass the malfunction sign by pressing any of the menu move buttons. I'm guessing this is because the wiring isn't correct for the E63? I called renntech and they have told me and the installer and another location too that the they don't have one that works with the E63.
Somehow I was still sold this. The car was on when I picked it up, and I drove it home and shut it off without seeing it for a few days. After seeing it on startup, I called and tried to get it corrected, and lets just say I just don't want to deal with the company anymore.
Anyone with a 2007-2009 E63 and Renntech ELM V2 with remote have any problems with the malfunction sign? Everything else still works. The lowering, the raising, and completely turning it off. Unless the installer installed an e55 way or something, I don't know i'm just confused at this point.
If this isn't really suited for my vehicle. I'll let you e55 brothers have first dibs at it.
I bought it at $1300+ with the remote around summer in 2011.
I'll let anyone pick it up for $500 w/ remote (add shipping for non local to AZ-CA,) as soon as I get it out of my vehicle.
Any help removing it and putting it back to stock would help. I've looked at the install instructions and understand what happens. But going back to stock is giving me harder time.

dude, thats total BS, its the same suspension setup as the E55.
basically the car needs standard settings checked BEFORE the V2 is switched on, i had mine STAR lowered but jacked the rear up to get it even lower, this caused the same error as yours after the V2 was fitted, i got it back on star and raised it a little, then re-adjusted using V2 and all is good again.

man if you do get it out of your E63, i will buy it as long as its not damaged in the removal process. Pull up komp55's DIY on the ELM install. Think you just need to work backwards to remove.

Lowering modules are not my area of knowledge. The closest I've ever came to installing one was holding a flash light like a little kid helping his Dad
. What I will say is... It sounds like the power supply is mixed up. Meaning its wired to power up when the car starts up. When it should be on a constant power source.
When you start the car up in its currant state, the ELM boots up and tossed that malfunction code. When it's wired to the constant power source, the ELM stays booted up and this malfunction does not happen. Pretty sure just swapping the ELM's power supply will solve the issue.

Well I'm just going to uninstall it. I know it's wiring problem now then. But it seems simple enough to just remove it.
And besides. I like running 285/35 out rear, and I get a bit of rubbing with the module. So i'm just going to take it off.

I and the same issues on my v3 when ac installed it. James didn't run a constant power at first. So then he had to run a piggyback power for elm to a constant power and no more up arrow .
If you do uninstall I'll take it off your hands

you will hate yourself for doing it, also you will need to re-align the suspension, i would just get the error resolved!
