MIR rental yesterday....Video inside
Well yesterday was good and bad to sum it up. Track prep was horrible and a nasty cross wind didn't help. DA was hovering around +800ft which wasn't great. I made 8 runs with none of them having a clean pass. Bad launch, bad shift, hitting rev limiter, out of gas 1 pass when it was on a good pass
,throwing the belt off and coasting to a 7.00 1/8 @82mph when the car was over a tenth faster than my previous fastest 330ft (.11 faster to the 330ft mark) was the best/worst part. It tells me the car will go low low 10's but just wasn't a good day. my 3 full passes were
10.53@118 (1.569 60ft bad shifts so i let out of it and coasted to a crazy and shocking 10.53@118 but wish i stayed in it now)
10.52@135(1.58 60ft but short shifted into 2nd for some reason but was FLYING up top showing how well these PTE Cams/DPF Heads are working)
10.54@133(1.67 60ft and hit rev limiter 2-3 shift)

Steve, how are you hitting the Rev limiter if the tranny is in s mode and shifting on its own? Was the driver seat, exhaust pulled and Braille in the rear?

Don't know how or why but it is hitting the rev limiter and I saw 6832 on the data logger for RPM also so she's spinning. Almost seems like it revs too fast for it to shift fast enough to catch. I took the passenger seat out but left everything else including the full exhaust and even floor mats.(forgot to take them out t the track not that it mattered). Scale wasn't open so don't know what the weight was. When I go for the 9's I will put a race seat in and really cut the weight wherever I can find it. My goal was to run 10.30-10.20 yesterday but fell short but I'm more excited now knowing it indeed has a lot more in it. I had a 6.62 1/8th on the pass it started breaking up because it was out of gas and also had a 104.92mph 1/8 so low low 10's are possible and with less weight and more power/cooling from the new intake that's getting made I'm looking good.

Its far from consistent right now. The 60ft's were almost all mid 1.50's but the times just happened to be consistent for some reason. The 118mph pass would of been a 10.30's pass easily if i stayed in it and the pass the belt came off i was over a tenth faster to the 330ft mark and had a 1.513 60ft so im sure that was going to be a 10.20 pass or maybe faster.

That's my fault. It was my first time using that camera and I guess zooming in while he goes down the track and the angle takes away from it looking fast. At least I got it on video this time loll. Will do a better job next time when he makes it count!!!
