2006 E55 or 2009 E63 ?
Which one do you guys think is the best bang for the buck?
2006 E55 or a 2009 E63? I am thinking of replacing my daily driver that
I had been driving for 16 years. I think it's about time for me to get a newer car.

65 Chevelle Wagon w/ C5 frame, 08 ML63, 04 S600, 04 E55,(sold) 00 ML55,(sold) 98 C43-55K Swap
I would say that a 06 e55 would be more reliable and have MUCH better fuel economy for a daily driver. The 113 engine (e55) is very solid and reliable and any issues are cheap and easy to fix. The e55 also has the 722.6 trans. cheap and easy to service. The 156 engine has had many issues. Camshafts, head bolts, lifters, upper oil pan leaks, intake gasket leaks, timing adjusters etc.... for the most part very expensive to pay for if you don't have a warranty. Even with the early 156 issues I do love the sound if the 156 the e63 also has a problematic early 722.9 trans. must (for the most part) be dealer serviced$$ Either way you go, get a good warranty and buy the car you enjoy driving. That's what its all about

2006 E55 & 2009 Audi S5
a year and a half ago I was faced with the same dilemma. I went the 2006 E55 route and glad I did. I've put about 50,000 miles on it since then with very few problems and tons of fun.

Is the price matter for you ? they are at least $10K different. For me, I would still pick 06 E55 and do 63 front bumper conversion which cost around $1K. The rest of the budget you can do some modification and maintenance. Either car is good so good luck !

I was stuck deciding between the 2 as well. E63 defiantly looks, and felt better driving as far as handling went. Put the tq from the e55 was too addicting. Plus if your into modding e55 has tons of mods.

So when buying a used E55, which one is a better buy, more than one owner with less miles or a 1 owner with lots of miles?

When I was searching I wanted Newest year possible, and least miles possible, than least owners (last priority) although lucked out mine had 2 owners. (original, than dealership)
