Flowmaster Super 44 On e63

TITLE SAYS IT ALL..

did my far share of searching and nobody seems to have this set up, i currently have my resonator off, and am considering popping two super 44s on it. what do y'all think?

maybe I'm crazy or just plain stupid. but if not the super 44 what model mufflers would y'all suggest? and what part number would it be from flow master?

anybody have sound clips!

flowmasters? you're kidding right? not only are they some of the worst flowing mufflers out there, you really need to just take out resonators out and see how you like the sound. if it's not loud enough for u, go for some headers.

I would keep the OEM mufflers.
Have you considered going with Eisenmann?

Secondary cat delete and an x-pipe is the way to go. Don't change the mufflers unless you love drone.

Sold - 05' E55
Try LT Headers FIRST, then you may consider changing your mufflers. And dont put flowmasters on a MB

Flowmasters sound good on an old muscle car, or track car - NOT A MB

I'm looking to do this to my c 350, but what do you replace the secondary cat with? Test-Pipes? If so which ones? do you have a part number? I know this will void warranty, but i'm willing to live with it.

Throw your resonator back on, remove secondary cats with straight pipes. If thats not loud enough for you do long tube headers.

But by all means keep the resonator, it keeps the "German" tone to the car and cleans up the sound nicely. I had no resonator no cats and long tube headers and it was just popping and plain obnoxious without the resonator or xpipe.

Longtube headers will sort you out - leave the mufflers alone - just be sure to replace your engine mounts at the same time! If you want loud and obnoxious like me: I have 45mm longtube headers going into an x-pipe and then into a straight 88mm pipe (no cats or resonators) and into stock mufflers which have been gutted. You can hear my car from a mile away and it pops, grumbles, hisses and roars - love it. Considering throwing away my mufflers and welding my 2 x dual exhaust tips straight onto the 88mm exhaust. My house windows vibrate when I start up in the morning from my separated garage 20ft away! I tried to get the C63 sound, but ended up with satans V8.

I have 7 x GoPro videos with amazing sound, but because I am over 40, I cant seem to get the damn things posted. I am sure my 11 year old can help me in the morning. Will keep you posted. I will also try to get pics of the exhaust, because my 88mm straight through pipe looks like my gutter downpipe on my house - it's massive.

I'm a weirdo and am actually very very curious what some 40 series or super 44's would sound like on an N/A E63.

The typical mufflers advertised for these cars are very outrageously priced in my opinion and I've kicked around the idea of Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. Nice deep sound but they flow quite well compared to most others in the market (short of "race" type mufflers that barely do any sound deadening). I said I was a weirdo right? lol
