So when you bought something from Shardul, he didn't jump through hoops and turn water into wine for you?
That's very ****in hard to believe.
Oh, wait, you're making statements based off board drama instead of experience or having seen evidence? That's interesting.

It didn't happen to me.. Never said it did, did I? Clearly I was talking on about Steve's issue.. I really don't think Steve would be lying about Brooke and Shardul not e-mailing or texting him back, do you? They even avoid questions they ask in threads.. Brooke even told Steve to "man up and call him".. Clearly showing he doesn't want there to be paper trail.. Not answering the simple question of who owns RTR or UPD for that matter..

so you're speaking from experience?
people on this board pay exorbitant prices for stuff that could be made/had for way cheaper - mods that used to cost $30k, now cost $10k - but capitalizing on that spending isn't robbery, it's smart business - would you sell your powder coated surge tanks for $90 if you had them done for someone? not just one, but multiple people?

Hmmm Brooke thats not very nice to be using your company for all of this that you dont even have?? I wonder what you claim on your taxes for these products you sell...

Why Kleemann and Renntech are more expensive because of initial RD work and they warranty their product. RD is not as simple as you think, once more production sold the cost will drop down. The best example with Kleemann header used to be $2200 and now only $1K and you can get tune for very close to EC price now. Nothing wrong with innovation but make sure reliability is done by proper tests. Plus, our cars are in a range of $18K to $26K so who the heck will pay $10k or more to upgrade the SC from W.
I think everyone that bought one of these - paid a person, not a company - there is no logo, no warranty, nothing - just a part and instructions.
If the box came with a receipt, a logo, a company name, and a warranty - everyone would have 100% something to stand on. But it doesn't, so this argument is all BS.
as for the couple of guys having issues with RTR (not related to this thread but always comes up) there IS actually some verbiage on RTRs website

Pretty much, if you're buying solely on trust, and don't read the fine print (if it exists) - don't expect much recourse, and trust will be the first thing to break.

Clearly im speaking about drama on the forum.. This should be handled behind closed doors, but it wasnt.. Thus the reason Steve started to speak out, no?
Ive never met Brooke or Shardul, but I know they have done a lot for our community.. Just providing an unbiased opinion to the matter.. Can you say your opinion is unbiased?

Thus, yeah, it's pretty easy to be unbiased since I know exactly the truth and don't have to sift through the BS. I don't have to have blind faith like everyone else.
You're right though, I would be biased otherwise.

So yes, you are correct - R&D costs a lot and insurance is high when you have a warranty...

My opinion is unbiased in this case because I am fortunate enough to have seen the facts when I talked to Shardul and Brooke about this ****storm and what their involvement was. I will personally guarantee you that Brooke and Shardul replied all they needed to and offered Steve solutions I would consider going above and beyond. Unfortunately that wasn't satisfactory.
Thus, yeah, it's pretty easy to be unbiased since I know exactly the truth and don't have to sift through the BS. I don't have to have blind faith like everyone else.

How tuners/vendors handle adversity is a legitimate barometer from which to gauge their professionalism.
Not how well they fill an order, or setup a group buy, or ship a product on time... sure, those're important too, but they're pretty much a given.
