Are you lowered? If so this is what you want to run.

Front 245/30
Rear 275/25

If you arent

Front 245/35
Rear 275/30

For zero issues and a perfect setup, the specs are 245/30/20 and 285/25/20 for that rim sizing. I ran that for two years with my lip and fender sitting almost on top of each other.

Oh, and CV2's on mine

Tony: who are you buying yours from? Do you have a vendor in mind? I'm in the same boat... on the cusp of pulling the trigger on a set of CV3s too.

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure about 295 but if there are no rubbing issues that works for me! Now I have to decide TIRES. Suggestions/Favorites?

Sweet! I'm out of North NJ and went to Frank D @ F1 Motoring in Sayreville, NJ. So far he has been MORE than helpful on the subject.

There's not really a lot of options with the combos that that fit - from what I understand - most (including myself) go with Hankooks. If I could have found Conti DW's in the right sizes for the front (they have them for the rears but not the fronts), I would have gone with those. . .

I found Continental DWS for my CV3s back in November. I'm pleased with them, having used only summer tires previously on my 55.

What size are those? Looks like you could go bigger if you don't drop.

Sterling,

These are 245/30/20 and 275/30/20-- what I was sold when I purchased the CV3s. I will go bigger when I need replacements.

I was subsequently told that the car can accommodate 245/30/20 and 285/35/20 tires on these rims.

You're correct -- the car is not dropped, but I think it may have been raised in this photo to get up and down the incline on the driveway.

I'm running 255F 295R, lowered with no rubbing so you can definitely go bigger. .

Why in the heck would you do that? A 285/35 is 2.5" taller than stock. With the 275/30, you're already sitting taller. Go taller than that and you might as well get a license plate that says DONK.

285/35 will rub badly, and is way to tall. You will also start to affect drive ratio, and due to the height of the tire, you will accelerate slower.

Not to hijack - but I am being told by a dealer in CA that all silver (with fitment for our Mercs) is out of stock at Vossen. Mike is this correct, or is this dealer up in the night??

Craig,

This is just the information that I was told by the seller (and Vossen). I was merely passing it along. It is not the size of the tires I currently have on my car.
