Next project

I figured this thread would get a lot more attention as this is the most view section, well any way this is my next little project since I was bored with the car

I already have ready a: 82mm TB, EC HE, Meziere Pump, ASP Idlers, 550 injectors with looped rail, NGK colder plugs, and MBH LTHs, car already has AMG calipers front and rear and AMG quad exhaust. I got "beast tubes" on the way and have the carbon cover so im moving quickly You may say why do such a project but when you got the deal I did on the engine/tranny etc it would make sense. Also helps when know people in breaker yards engine and tranny have 50k on it.

Is that beast going in the S430? How are you gonna deal with the ECU? I know NA 55s have gone in 43s using the same ECU but is the 55k the same ECU as well?

I've decided that it will get a "proper" rebuild It will be bigger, much stronger and its going to make ALOT more than it did before.

If you wanted to though could you use the S430 ECU and TCU and have it retuned to the 55k or is the swap necessary because I'm seen some C43 owners throw in an M113 5.4 NA to make a C55.

no the people ive talked to about this swap said to find a 55k ecu if I didn't have one but that's not the case.

really oh I didn't know that I assumed the ECU worked because the 43 to 55 swap is popular. I wonder how the C class guys dealt with the ECU issue if they can't use their 43 one.

However I'll be honest with you, Havoc lost ALOT of money on custom work and dilemmas. I think you should try to find a smashed CLS63 or any car with the new 5.5 TT and buy it. You might get one for like 25k and then sell your M113. The problem is the electronics though. The engine WILL bolt right in but the damn electronics. Again a crashed 5.5TT is bound to come up with a non damaged front (engine) and you may get a good deal. Try to find a solution for the electronics and you'll have the fastest E55 in the world after heavily tuning it. The new engine has already run 10s after not much time in production so the potential is catastrophic.

How about a bigger supercharger? :slap Seems much more appealing to me than spending a stupid amount of money for something I have seen produce no better performance at the strip than 55ks out there and have headaches getting everything working properly while being $20k in the hole.

I wish i was able to get a nice whipple on top of her HINT HINT. I've seriously tossed the twin turbo idea around alot lately but just cant justify the extra money it would take in order to make it work well plus the tuning it will take. I will however make 900+hp with the new build without a turbo on it . The haters can start hating now but everyone will see in a few months.

Honestly, it is beyond me why some shop in this industry hasn't done this a long time ago. There is no way that someone couldn't have the lower half made to mate a whipple to our car, even if it was fabricated instead of some cast or cnced piece. I am sure you could do it at a very reasonable price that a lot of people would buy. I think if Speedriven gets it done this time unlike their turbo kit feeler flop they will have something special and at the price point of $6k they mentioned it will sell. I can tell you if I see a car get one installed and running well making mid 600s much less something closer to 700 I will be fighting myself not to buy one which will mean I probably would.

Will be interesting to see what you come up with, hope it all goes smoothly and Jerry can tune the hell out of it for you.
