E55 airmatic(which is best setting to prolong life?)

Hey guys,
I was just wondering your opinion on which, if any, setting would be better to use on my E55 to prolong the life of the air shocks? I was thinking sport 2 would be the best on the shocks but now I'm wondering if comfort would be better. Let me know what you guys think, don't want to have to deal with that issue any time soon!!!

sport 2 is hardest on tires, but probably less movement for the shocks themselves...

the previous owner of my 55 said that he just cycled between the settings regularly and also used the vehicle raise/lower every few weeks to fully extend the shocks

I usually keep mine in Sport 2 for the lower stance and better handling, but I'll switch to comfort mode on long drives or when I have my girl with me. Having the ability to adjust the suspension and raise/lower the car is invaluable to me. I figure cycling between the settings regularly is better for the air shocks, but who knows.

I thought comfort was best, the other 2 ways have to keep the pressure always high....

Comfort is all I drive in, unless I'm doing over 100mph, then I'll put it in sport2. Sport1 and 2 will create negative camber and cause your tires to wear uneven. I go through tires fast enough on my own, I don't need any help.
Now if my airmatic was ever to fail, I'd go with the coilovers. It will lighten up my car at the track.lol

I drive in comfort because of the crappy roads around my area, but if I drive fast or decide to throw the car around some corners, I'll put it in sport 2.

Sport 2 all the time and sometimes she sits for a couple of months at a time in the garage and I have absolutely no drama whatsoever.

Best engineered AMG in my opinion.

For D2 coil overs I heard $2,200 installed and KV 2 was $3,200 installed.. Might also be able to sell some of your stock parts to recoup some of the money spent..

in addition to the price of the coil over kit the parts required from the dealer run about 600 USD.
A local member ordered the D2 kit but shipping kept on getting delayed so he got the KW kit.
