At the very least do it that way so the higher performance tires are on the rear...Understeer is a lot easier than oversteer...

about 8k miles later and the inside fronts are already cupping a bit, dammit...

would an alignment really help? or should I just suck it up?

How do the Michelin PSS tires compare to Continental Extreme Contact DW? I've worn my Contis down to nearly nothing after 13K miles. If the Michelins are that much better, I'll probably try a set next.
