You like them? How is the matte finish when it comes to cleaning?

They really are nice wheels. They clean very easily. They are not really matte, they have a bit of gloss to them, almost like satin. Easy access to the barrels inside because of the wide spokes. Strong too, I've smashed quite a few large potholes and no bends or cracks... and I check them all the time.

I'm running PSS's on Vossen CV3's- 245/35/20 on 9 fronts, 285/30/20 on 10.5 rears. The rear is slightly stretch which I didn't really care for, and resulted in a lot of pockmarks and powdercoat damage to the rear wheels, so I think I'll upsize the rear tires. Probably just 295's because I'd like to keep the 30 profile for ride comfort reasons.

I was going to say....you've already upsized the tires.

305 works

Hankook 305 on 20" Vossen VVS 084 10.5. Lowered with links no rub looks perfect. No "stretch look" at all

Lol true... I just want a little protection for the rims... With the 285s they get beaten up really easily. I suppose I could downsize to 10s from 10.5s instead, but I think the 295s will fit fine

I was talking about the aspect ratio (sidewall), not the width.

Oh got it. Yes with the roads here I was worried about having 25s. With the added width maybe it wouldn't be an issue

PSS's were sold out. Ended up with Michelin PS2's in the same size, 285/30/20. They're actually a good .5" to 1" wider- extend width use just past the lip of the wheel and fill the well much better. So far in daily use can't tell much difference in noise or ride. Pics coming.

Hello All- Reviving this thread as it has a ton of useful examples and info. After doing my homework I wanted to get some verification. I am looking at some rims that come in 20X9/10.5. The offsets available are:

Fronts:
9" with a 25 mm offset
9" with a 36 mm offset

Rears:
10.5" with a 45 offset.

I read someplace that the offset had to be between 39 and 42 for a 10.5 to not rub on the rear. According to this thread and what some people are doing that does not seem to be the case and depends more on the tire.

Two questions:
I think I have to run the 25 offset in the front with a 245/25. Is that correct?

If I get a thin sidewall tire, can I run the 45mm, 10.5 rear with a 295/25? Or should I consider shaving it down 3mm to make it a 42mm?

Thanks!

I have 10.5" rear wheel with the 42mm offset. Running a 305/25 definitely required rolling the fenders.

I have 20x10, ET40 with 285/30/20 Invo's. Lowered, no rub (fenders rolled). Still a fair amount of room. I have 20x9, ET32, 255/30/20 Invo's with tons of room. Don't love the 25 sidewall at all. Looks like a rubberband.

What 305/25 tires are you running that required you to roll the fenders?

I'm reading earlier in this thread that the Hankooks should work in 305 without rolling of fenders.

So a 45 offset would give me more room and I might not have to roll the fenders? Or with a 10.5 are you pretty much guaranteeing you need to roll? I am not lowered.

Have run on a stock 06 55sdn, no fender roll:

Fronts 275/35/18 RS3s on 18x9.5 et35. No interference inside or out, lock to lock thru full suspension travel (have an ELM so easy to test). 285 would likely rub inside suspension and outside bottom wheel lining(full lock)

Rears 285/35/18 RS3s on 18x9.5 et45. Defn more than .25" room on inside which is all you need for a 295 tire. Plenty of space btw tire and fenders a well via full suspension range.

Hope this helps.

If you have an additional 3mm from the extra offset, are running a 295, and are not lowered, you may be able to get by without having to roll the fenders.

My detail guy knew a guy who rolled fenders and had the right equipment to do so. He only charged me $20 per fender to do it. I'm glad I did because the +42 fitment is very aggressive and looks great.

Awesome info! You should post some pictures with your setup and rolled fenders. Would love to see how aggressive it looks

This. I would love to see pics of how a 285/30 looks on a 10.5 rim.
[EDIT: Google image searched and found several examples in smaller diameter rims. Seems like it's slight stretched but not much at all. I think I can live with it and it should give me clearance I need to not roll the fenders]

So everyone knows Hankook (and most all others) seemed to have stopped making 295/25/20 tires.

The rims I am getting are +45 front (10.5") and +36 rear (9"). Seems like 285/30/20 is the most available tire. I can get a Nitto Invo in a 295/25. I think the 285/30 is the proper fitment for the E55, but I am concerned about the stretched look which I don't want.

Anyone see any problems with my offsets?

Thanks!

Hey Denroll,

I just ordered wheels and tires similar to your setup. My rears are 10.5 wide with 45ET and going with 305/25/20 tire. I plan on getting my fenders rolled. Did your fenders require an aggressive or light rolling at 42ET?

I don't know how to gauge the aggressiveness of the roll, but the guy who rolled them had to come back because he didn't roll far enough down the sides and there was a little bit of rubbing. No pulling or bulging was required.

If you look at the fender and the very top center is 12:00, I'd say that rolling from 10:00 to 2:00 should get the clearance you need.
