Widest tire on a 10.5 rim??

Widest tire on a 10.5 rim??
What is the widest tire we can run on our cars on a 10.5 rim,on my other E55 I ran a 285/25,is a 295/25 possible without any rubbing?? I would really like to run a 295/30 but nut sure if that will fit either without any issues,and the car will be lowered..

295 would be ideal so try to get a tire that is thin around the sidewall like a PS2

I, along with others, run a 295/25/20 and are lowered. I use the Hankook V12s.

PS2's and Contis have beefy sidewalls and run wide.
Toyo T1R's and Hankook EVO V12's have narrower sidewalls and dont run as wide.

I ran a 295/25/20 on my LM's a while back. I did rub when I got on it, cruising in C was fine though. Come to think about it, offset on the wheel was pretty aggressive so I'm sure I could have gotten away without rubbing if the offsets were different...

You should be able to get a 315-35 tire on a 10.5 rim...but you must check the specific tire's section width since all 315 tires do not have the same width...tire rack lists this for the tires they sell.

Sure you could fit it on the wheel, but ever think of fitment on the car

with a 42 offset on a 10 inch rim, you can run 295/25/20 dumped with no rub.

I'm going to revive this thread. I need new tires.... bad. I'm currently on 295/25/20 and I don't rub. I do, however, want to put a 305 back there for a little extra traction. Has anybody done this? Here's a pic of me on 295s.

This is what it looks like when I don't drive it for 10 days...

Think I can get away with a 305/25/20??

Probably squeeze some 44X19.5's on there. You'll need a custom lift kit though.

Update: I decided to go 315's after i test fitted a set of 305s, very subtle difference look to my Hankook 295. Rear tires are Toyo T1R 315/25/20 i'm gonna get some more shots this weekend and will make a thread next week with wheel fitment etc. Also picked up some Vossen CV5's in the process, 10.5 rear very minor clearancing done no rubbing in sport 2.
