Whats this 06e55 worth, and what to look out for?

Im jumping from the world of muscle cars ( z06 right now ) to possibly a gorgeous 06 e55 amg. full options (ill check on what that means) + Panorama. 77k miles (is this a big deal?) and its being offered at 23k. Im thinking more along the line of 20k flat...but we'll see.

When I go to look at it tomorrow, what are some of the things I should really be looking at? While ive had some older BMWs in the past, this is my 1st dive into the MB World.

A lot of dealers buy cars from each other and bounce around the nation a lot.

I just picked up mine. 06 model with all options. 70K miles. Originally he wanted 25 but final price is to be decided once I get a estimate for a few minor things that need to be fixed. 23 is a great price though.

I highly suggest you get a full vehicle inspection either at a dealer or a reputable independent shop in the area. I wasn't satisfied after my 1st pre-purchase inspection and after I took it to a friend's place for a 2nd opinion, they were able to find something that the 1st guy missed. These are very sophisticated vehicles and every little thing on this car costs money. That $23,000 can easily become 25 or more.

get a pre purchase inspection. If not, check the brakes/rotors, put the car on a lift and see if the tranny or oil /rear main is seeping/leaking oil....other big fixes are the airmatic struts that can fail and cost $1200 each strut at the dealer, or $500 each side for rebuilt arnott for fronts only.

Damn. Maybe I should sell my car while it still has an iota of value. I'm kidding. She's not going anywhere but it sure is painful to see the 2006's at $23k now.

You might not wanna read this, but

I watched an 07 e63 designo graphite at the Atlanta auction weds..very clean, no paint, but107k! ...did 23 grand. I was asleep apparently, and didn't think they'd sell it. Doh! I still say you gotta use good sense in buying these cars, great as they are.
