STOCK E63 "13.091 @109.19mph" Is this slow??
Hey guys
Just got back from the strip and did 13.091 with ESP on .
Is this slow ?? or within the right range for a stock.
So far my car has drop in filters , sec cat delete with X pipe and resonator
delete with straight pipes.
Stock 18inch wheels and stock muffler .

Are you sure about that???? My car is in pretty good shape.
Looks like a e63 ~ what you mean by look like ~ color??? its white
I didnt even bother with manual , My tranny was in "Sport" mode. When I use
manual mode it always hits the rev limiter even with shifting around 6k rpm.

Your 60 foot times are slow. A good solid launch should probably get ylu down to 1.8 or 1.9. Every .1 you shave off your 60 foot typically will shave .2 off your elapsed times.
Turn off traction control, warm the tires up/clean em a bit with a lil burnout if the car allows it and play with how you launch the car. You need to learn to get off the line harder and without spinning the tires too much andbyour times will start to drop.

Your times aren't ideal for a e63
Just for comparison, your time is slightly SLOWER than a stock c55 I know of that consistently runs 13 sec flat. Your trap time seems okay
Do you have the performance package?

My car does worse with traction control on, it will start to spin then ESP will kick in and it will fall on its face and then I will run 3 or 4 tenths slower. I have always been able to do better 60ft times by trying to feather the throttle off the line with ESP off (we are talking on street tires).
Find out how good the track is sticking depending on their track prep and give it more and more throttle to where you may spin a little but are moving forward rapidly. Should be easier to do with an E63 too since you don't have the huge torque down low like a modded E55. You could easily knock 4 tenths off that time.

Work on your 60fts and you will definitely cut some time. Everything depends on the 60ft if you ask me. On 85-90 degree days my car will run in the 13s at 110ish. On a cold 55-60 degree day its an 11 second car. Weather has a huge impact on these. At 75 you should be able to see some mid to high 12s around 110-113.

Was this track @ Sonoma/Infineon?
I looked at dragtimes and all the cars listed at the track run consistent times.
So you need to def improve your 60'. You should be in mid 12's.
Try feathering the throttle at start and then gradually easing into WOT.
Reading Jake's sticky should help you

Agreed 100% with the others, the times aren't horrible you just need to nail the launch.
I was at Beech Bend this past weekend with Deuce-Zero and his E63 was anywhere between 12.6XX and 13.1XX, depending on his launch. Didn't help that he was on Blizzaks, haha. Love those cars, they sound superb.

Ur ride is fine. U just gotta learn how to launch. It takes a lotta practice so just keep tryin and you'll be fine. I remember my first few experiences at the track were discouraging. You learn a lot bout ur car when ur at the track and once u start nailin those 60 fts, ur golden. Good luck!

Once we get into the extreme heat, Steve and I won't be running anymore until fall. DA is simply too high and there's no point in beating on the cars to run worse times. By fall, I will have ditched the slow intake and will have the NW back on, plus some other goodies. If I can nail another 1.8 60' on streets, I'm hoping to see 12.1XX, at which point I'll be a happy camper. Steve wants me to run drag radials, a guy in FL with my exact setup (plus DR's) is running 11.8 consistently in the 1/4 mile... but as discussed at dinner the other night, he's about 60# lighter and has several more passes under his belt.
Personally, 1/4 mile is fun but my real fun is had when you hit 100 before a chicane and then turn the wheel
We'll give you a heads-up if we get another 60° night in the next month or so... but I don't think we'll have too many more of those unfortunately.

I have a 3 inch X Pipe with large openings and that took away a lot of sound.
