my e63amg

Some of you may recall i was the proud owner of a CLS55 AMG

Well this is its sucessor, when i first bought it in May i was not that enamoured with the aesthetics, but loved the engine.

After the drive back, acid at MSL was kind enough to swap my wheels back over and fit the euroteck front splitter and rear boot spoiler, it was on the way.

The next step was getting it lowered, with links from lower my air ride, however it was only worth doing the front as the back would rub on the tyres

After that the roof was wrapped in carbon by "its a wrap"

With the car lowered the front wheels stuck out to much on the 25mm spacers fro the CLS, so they were switched for 12mm, which looked much better

Next was the fitment of the carbon roof spoiler from Taiwan (ebay) and switch the star for a flat AMG badge, also china based.

Finally the long wait for the euroteck rear diffuser was over and it was fitted at MSL, the bumper had to come off and it was fitted with both screws and adhesive, that things never coming off.

Only thing left to do now is paint the calipers, I have both red and yellow paint, bit of indecision going on in my head

Anyhoo, here are the pics

Borrowed a black grille to see if i liked it

and i do, just need to wait for them to come back in stock

Thanks for looking guys and gals

Does that rear thing do anything or is it just for looks? It looks pretty cool.

You mean it's a E55 transformed into an E63?

Don't get it ... 2006 E63?

BTW, the original grill looks much better IMO

Its a 2007 E63, but its on a 2006 plate here in the UK, Gues it was pre registered.
Its a E63 AMG with the 6.2 NA engine.

The roof thing, doesnt really do alot, keeps the back window abit cleaner but mainly for looks..

Beautiful, I'd be proud to drive that. I say keep the chrome grille and put the hood star back on, but that's just me.

Rear diffuser changes the whole look. Very nice. Who makes it?
Black out the emblems! Black grille for sure.
How do you like the change from the cls55?

Thanks
Rear diffuser is from Euroteck, got held up at customs here in the UK for 8 days.
The CLS55AMG was a toatlly different animal, very urgent on the power, the E63 seems to have a more relaxed power delivery, but its just as quick.
They both sound awesome, loveley deep bassy grumble to them.

The exterior is finished, may do the carbon airbox later but thats about it, cant justify the cost on headers.
Eurocharged might be getting some business though...
