transmission service... Turned 40,000 miles

going to do my transmission service today and after reading some bad experiences with them are there any precautions to take before doing this or iam i just being paranoid ?

there are a few guys here saying don't flush the transmission

with or without warranty it needs to be done every 40,000 miles. they will drop the pan drain it put new filter full it and seal it $250.... NO FLUSH !

Warranty don't cover the tranny service ! I paid around $250 3 years ago in dealer.

07' SL65, 04' E55, 03' Evo8, 08' GSXR, DSM's...
Just take it in regardless of warranty or not and get new fluid and a filter installed. I also say DON'T do a flush, just fluid change.

Ok guys just got back got my oil changed and transmission service done. It was 350 all together w/ a 50 dollar coupon from MB. so far so good ! Did a few pulls to 100 from 2 and 3rd gear. As berti would say she shifts smooth as butter so far

I was implying that if they flush the transmission, the warranty will cover the replacement if it grenades...

i just had my trans service done at at the dealer. They said they hooked it up to some machine that ran fluid through the entire system to flush it before they filled it. 1k miles later and everything is still good.
