s/c t/b inlet question

on the bottom of the e55 supercharger inlet theres what looks like a throttle body and butterfly. my 74mm s/c inlet doesnt have this. what is it? are there actually 2 t/b on your s/c?

Like the name implied, its job is to bypass the excess boost during part throttle.

i get that but were does it bypass to? for my car oem boost is approx 14 psi and im pushing 22 psi in 88* weather. the surge is really annoying and dangerous as it can occur at the worst times. i was looking to upgrade to a 82mm t/b and am trying to see if the bypass is connected electrically or vacuum related

The compressed air under the sc is bypass back to the sc inlet (which is pre-sc non compress air).

Bypass basically is a smaller electric TB. Same exact one as your main, just smaller.

I actually have a spare and for fun plugged it in and drove around watching it open and close. (in limp mode) Its pretty amazing how it matches your pedal pushing near perfectly. As you press the throttle, it closes more, then opens as you let up.
