First Impressions | Eurocharged ECU Tune E63 AMG!!!
Hello Everyone!
I received my ECU back from Eurocharged this evening and have been driving around for a few hours.
All I can say is WoW! what an improvement. The car feels much stronger, lighter and alive. Money very well spent.
I never liked to drive the car in comfort mode as it would take off in 2nd gear and it would feel horrible. Take off in 2nd gear with 40% to 50% throttle felt heavy, sluggish and boring. Now, comfort mode is just right. Even a take off in 2nd gear with 40% to 50% throttle is light and crisp and is accompanied by a slight chirping of the tires. Exactly the area I was looking to get some improvement in.
Take off in first gear with 40% to 50% throttle is quite entertaining, lost of wheel spin and smiles.
Take off in first gear at full throttle is absolutely mental; results in a lot of noise, smoke, big smiles and kissing of the steering wheel.
The 120 km/hr speed warning lights up in an instant. Need to find a way to get rid of this. Also, wish the ESP could be turned off completely without going into the secret menu. Guess its better to have some ESP until I put an LSD into it. It definitely needs one now.
My heartfelt gratitude to Jerry and his team at Eurocharged for the excellent tune, and even more for their patience and kindness.
Thanks
Hasan

Thanks Guys!
I must confess, the whole experience has been quite exciting for me. I wrote no less than 20 e mails to Jerry and his team. Most of them were actually quite stupid and must have been annoying for the guys at EC. But they were always very kind and polite in their communications.
The EC team have not only earned my business but my trust and loyalty as well. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with them.
Oceans of gratitude to all of you and this awesome community.

We have 98 RON here so I believe I got the tune for that. My car was completely stock so I don't think there was anything else to be considered.

Sounds like you did great! can you tell me what the power increase for you was? do you have numbers on kw or hp as to the increase? thanks. I am thinking of doing this ECU thing myself to my 63.

In otherwise stock applications, the way I understand it, You just get the most up-to-date out-of-the-box tune available, currently referred to as the V3 tune (and whenever it is further refined, you can just get a re-flash to stay current)
I think the only "stages" available via EC for the 63s are if you got one for a higher-than-usual octane fuel (ie race gas), where they can turn a few parameters up
