E55 tow hitch?

I was wondering what you guys think of me putting a tow-hitch on my E55? It's to tow a 700lb jet-ski..

Also, do they make hide-aways for the e55?

Get a small hitch and mount it behind the diffuser.

I have seen small hitches on the 211, not a E55 though. I think most will say dont do it, but if ya got to, well ya got too. I kept my old truck to pull the ski's with.

funny...I was thinking about doing this to mount a bike carrier. let me know if you find something that works and is somewhat hidden.

I wouldn't... Even the Manual is very clear on why not to do this. But If you have no choice, be very careful with it.

buying a 800$ beaten up pickup truck would be cheaper than replacing your rear airbags

I was just looking to carry a mountain bike around. This was a nice option versus mounting rails up on the roof. However, I wouldn't consider towing a trailer with the 55...I have a QX56 for that

Hey all, saw this interesting thread. I am new here and looking to going from my Volvo S60R to an E55. I don't want to keep the R, and having more filling up my driveway (that would be codeword for the wife not approving of that)

It looks like most of you are against putting a hitch on the E55, but why. I can find tow bars that are made for the car. What are you reasons for being reluctant to do it.

Hope you can advise.

That is a nice looking tow system. I was wondering how to tap into the lights.
