lol, well cant say it doesnt look good. I hate how a front plate can ruin the look.
so this was my final placement. but how worried should I be about air flow being restricted?

friends say "shouldnt be a problem" dont want mechanic saying "shouldnt be more than 10 grand"

You're blocking air flow to your heat exchanger and radiator.

Will it blow your motor? No.

What's the point of mounting it like that? You went from getting one bs ticket to another. Have you looked into getting a license plate mount which attaches to the tow hook? You could then remove the plate and bracket and have a clean look when you want, and still be legal for the Mon-Fri daily grind.

Move to Quebec and you wont need front tags
But if youre a lawyer, you might need to brush up on their legal system
I hear its different than the rest of canada. Something about hanging you first and then you go trial?

Just watch the temperature gauge. If it does not overheat, you are fine. If temperature goes up, you need to change the placement of your plate. IMHO, you have nothing to worry about...

As for the tickets, theoretically your plate is in front and is visible

Igor.

I kept my plate in the window for over a year in Toronto not to ruin my custom front end on my Audi. Awesome how you can have 8 figures on your plate with numbers between.

Mount it in the tow hook. Get it outta there cyclops!

"no one"

and actually i seen a 63 today and the plate actually half goes over that grille anyways.

since i cut mine in half that means I'm getting the same amount of oil cooler and rad blockage as everyone else.

*as for the grille, its sold out everywhere. I want the badge-less without the stupid little badge on the top.

Install it into the tow hook location, and install e63 front grill.
