2006 E55 AMG
Thumbs up 2006 E55 vs 2004 CBR 600cc

So the other night my friend and I decided to race, me in my 06 e55 and him in the 2004 honda cbr 600cc both stock except I had my 20s on my e55.

We did a couple pulls:

- Off the line my automatic and torque boost me up real quick and I get upto 100 before he comes near me.

- but doing pulls from 40mph we are neck and neck upto 120MPH but after that I feel like the supercharger tops out and the acceleration is slow.

Also I feel like i would be much faster if I had my stock 18s on cuz the 20s are much heavier.

any thoughts?

Love killing 600s... how much heavier are the 20s? The extra weight might make a little difference

Stock too?
Very good friend of mine whom I let drive my car a few times swears its as fast if not faster than his modded R6. We've never raced though, as he'll just top that thing out of habit.

Nice runs!

If your sc tops out, you need some cooling mods. Mine pulls for days.

Once your buddy learns how to ride his motorcycle it should be a different story

Our E55 Has no problem with 600's, 750s are a little better fight, But there is no better feeling seeing the look on the guys face when a 4400 LB Mercedes is blowing by him on the freeway

Most people can't ride worth a crap rolling on the throttle lightly instead of pinning it, shifting early or shifting slow. Your friend plain and simple just isn't a good rider or he would rape you down low from a stop or slow roll, even on a 600cc bike especially with your car being stock also. At higher speeds a 600cc bike loses a lot of its quickness and a fairly quick car can easily hang with or beat one. You would have to be quite a bit faster (faster than a "stage 3" E55 to beat a 750 and a liter bike will just embarrass you even if you are a stage 3 with 550whp, unless again the rider can't ride. About 4 years ago I sold a Yamaha R1 I had owned for 4 years and a friend and I ran with him in a C6 Z06 and I destroyed him and it wasn't even a fast bike (relatively speaking) since back then when I got it they only had 140hp which isn't much more than some 600s these days. I still ran 10.17@137mph on it bone stock though at the same track that I have done a best of 11.69@120 in the E55.

That being said, several years back I ran a 600rr on the highway in my Audi which at the time only had about 300whp and he couldn't pull away from me going from around 85/90ish to about 140 and I had 2 people in my car too. A few months back I left the drag strip in my E55 and a guy on a 600cc Kawasaki who was at the track pulled up next to me and wanted to run so I ran him 2 or 3 times from about 45-55mph and we were side by side. He then had me slow way down to like 10mph and then he pulled away from me and finally won.

Don't those old CBR's trap 126mph. That isn't slow, I understand if you're racing past 160 because they aren't liter bikes but they are still fast if given the correct rider.

Sorry bro, but without a vid I call

or the only possible way you could win, is if your buddy has no idea what he is doing. I have raced many 600's before in my old twin screw cobra's making 600rwhp, from a role I would creep away slowly. From a dig it all depends on how good a rider they are and how well the car hooks. Your car been stock makes in the low 400rwhp range and is a good 700lbs heavier than the terminators, so I just dont see your claim been true without proof.

your friend needs to learn how to ride his CBR before doing any mods. I own both a CBR600RR as well as an E55. And I can tell you that no matter how good of a driver you are (not much driving involved in basically flooring the gas pedal), stock vs stock, the E stands no chance.

With that being said, one of my friends just bought a 09 V-Rod. Lets just say the look on his face was priceless when I walked past him in my beast.
