63 guys, what's YOUR mods?

I figured the other thread would be all about 55s, any 63 guys out there have anything fancy done?

Tunes and sometimes headers are usually a given, but does anyone have positive experiences with much else? Even into things like lightweight rotors?

What else can you do to these things beyond tune and exhaust?

Nice! Main questions timeToy, did you notice a big difference in the lightweight brakes/rotors? How about the LSD

Lastly, what were the details of your "custom" tune vs. An out of the box tune from EC? I was told the tunes are great and what works on one car stock would work on them all. Did you go custom just because of the mods? ( beyond just telling here what upgrades you had and him sending a new file?

You are right, the 63 is pretty stout right out of the box. First thing I did was got the car lowered and had the grille painted black and removed the star off the grille. Flat badge on hood is all that is needed. MBH sent over some awesome headers. Had cats and res delete done. Sounds mean.
Had the tune done. Next is choosing between black HRE's or the Morr wheels 19".
The next step would be the weistec blower. There has been some good press about the product, but I wish we could read some more from guys that have it installed.
I haven't had to change out the rotors yet, but on any replacement parts, I will always go with the lighter weight products even though overall the car is heavy.
The car is super but you can always make it better and faster !!!

Eh, to each their own. No doubt there will probably always be a 55 out there atop the hill of W211s, not taking that away, I just happen to own a 63, love it to death, and wondering what people were doing to them to improve things

I don't necessarily have to be the fastest, just always want to be a little faster

headers, tune and intake.. Not much more you can do to a 63 than that.. (other than make it lighter)

Here's what I've done so far:

1.) OE Tune
2.) AFE Dry Filters
3.) Racing Brake front L.W. rotors
4.) American Racing LT Headers
5.) ROW Airbox Mod
6.) STAR lowering
7.) Zeitronix ZT-2 - Dual AFR set-up to help with the tune.
8.) Brisk Spark Plugs - 1 range colder

Thinking about the Weistec TCU modification.

--- Still working to get it all dialed in.

nice! Yeah I figured besides the overall reduction in weight, it made a huge difference because it would be (much) less rotating weight, allow things to get rolling a little easier, ya know.

How much did they set you back?
