mrweelr are you up for meeting up for a friendly run? watch out for the san thomas area approaching the central expwy underpass, the motorbike swine frequently run a speed trap there.

Yep, they hide there all the time, I've lived around here for 15+ years. Sure, we can do some friendly runs, weekends are best. I had a great run with a modded C5 Z06 on Lawrence the other night. This Vette sounded mean. We both spun going into 2nd, but I put carlength on him and held it up to 125mph. After that, we did another roll on from about 50mph and it was the same outcome. He turned off after we ran into traffic. Still loving this E55!

I drove Andy from MHP's E63 Biturbo that had the PP package I believe, along with an aftermarket MHP tune.
Let me say this, dont even bother racing those cars, not unless you just want to see the thing accelerate away. No E55 on this board could run with them, period.
Just to give you a real world example on how fast they are, Clayton (Benz-o-Rama) ran Andy's tuned SLS AMG Gullwing up at Timmayfest. Well Claytons car is a V12 TT with a Speed Driven tune and runs 11.0, the SLS did walk away slowly on the highway from Benzo. I was in the E63 TT trying to catch up but did not make it.
After the runs, I asked Andy, how does the E63 TT compare to his Gulwing, he said there is no comparison. The E63 walks the gulwing badly from a role on!

True story. But it's an OE ECU/ Speedriven TCU.
The only thing I can cling onto is that it was 100* and my IATs were 150 before the pull. We all know that the V12s hate the heat and the 63s N/A seem to not care about ambient temp. But yeah, make no mistake, that SLS pulled on me without issue.
I also drove the same E63 that Craig is talking about. The thing just left me shaking my head. It just didn't make sense how quick it was, and how effortless it got there.
I really should get the Eurocharged flasher thingy, and swap between my current tune, and one of Jerry's. Same day, same track, same driver. See what's what.

Where are you running all these cars at? Everytime I go out its the usual Integra, loud fart-can Accord followed by a Mini down the 110.

I flogged that SLS around for a bit before we raced and its gearing is perfect for 60mph rolls. It felt strong, but I still thought my soaked V12 will still win. I was wrong.

V12-Biturbo
The owner of the SLS also agrees with this sentiment. He used to own a tuned SL65 before the SLS so he has a good barometer. All my basement 11s were run in ice cold air, in negative DA. I think I'm probably a tick or two quicker in those conditions. But that day, he had the faster car, no doubt about it.

Oh...that reminds me. I had this guy in a new BMW Z4sDrive35is try to race me a few weeks ago. He held pretty good from a 35mph punch, but I started to walk him hard once I overcame the jump he got on me. I know I'll get clobbered by something sooner or later, but it hasn't happened yet. The old E55 beast is still a force to be reckoned with :-)
