Pulled into my parking tonight and noticed the light off the wall in front of me looked off colored or a light purple... Got out and sure enough, the passenger's side is normal, but the driver's side looks like someone is shining a light through a clear 2 liter bottle of purple drank. Does this just mean it's starting to fade out and if so, any ideas what it'll cost to fix?

Okay, forgive my ignorance with these HID or whatever they are bulbs, but is it something I have to take to the dealer?

you can do it yourself. it's a little harder than the standard bulb's design, but a little patience should do it.

you can find your bulbs on http://theretrofitsource.com. You're looking for D2S bulbs.

Thanks buddy. Also, there appears to be 4 different types there ranging in price... Is there a particular wattage or model I should go with?

any of the 35 watt bulb choices will be fine. Some people are picky about getting a tad bit more light output from the $200 bulbs, but all of the bulb choices they offer are very good.

+1. I just changed mine out last week and opted for the Osram CBI. The are pure white, no color, and are slightly brighter imo. If you are looking for the best bang for the buck, the morimotos have great reviews.
The bulbs can be tricky if this is your first time changing them, as there is not much room to work with. Let us know if you need some pointers.
