Hey Gents, Noob Question About Sat Radio
In my 2006 Passat, the Sirius ESN was listed just by switching to the sat radio, but how do I go about finding it for my E55?
Sirius is giving me 6 months for $25, so I am going to go for it.

When it is on the preview channel, 186 I think, hit the info tab next to the display. It should give you the sid number.

You don't have the reciever box then. You can add it and it does integrate well with the command but it's not cheap. Haven't checked prices lately but it's most likely over $600 for a reciever, antenna and fiber optic cable to add it in the fiber optic loop for the audio system. You may be able to find a used one from sombody parting out a car if you want to go that route.

Look up my thread but judging by your model year, you will not only have to buy everything but completely run all the wiring for satellite radio. You're looking at well over $1k with install
03-04s were per wired for satellite as it just became available nationwide

I have Sat radio in my car and it is completely useless since I have the car overseas and the car will most likely never be returning the the U.S.
I would be willing to hook you up with a good deal if I can find someone to take everything out of the car. I would ship it through APO, so shipping would be cheap. If you are intested let me know.

I wanted to install this in my 05 too, but after hearing the Sirius sound quality in our brand new C250 with premium sound, I'm not bothering with SAT audio. The sound is absolute garbage, HD radio sounds 100x better.

Mid 2005 is where most of the changes happened with our cars
If you want to check if you car is pre-wired for Sirius
Remove the interior trunk panel and see if the wiring for the antenna is there.
I don't think Tony's car would be as it's a CDM right?
